I prefer Hasbro slow down on sublines and repaints/retools. Don't get me wrong, I have been enjoying something from every exclusive subline (Pulse Selects, Amazon Battle Across Time, Target Buzzworthy, Walmart Netflix) but I think we're reaching a saturation point again. If you look at WFC as a whole, almost every figure has been or will be repainted/retooled at least once and several figures have 2+ repaints.

I prefer to be patient and just wait for brand new molds of fan favorite characters. There's still some low hanging fruit that Hasbro can do (like Detritus, Treds, Loudpedal, Buzzsaw...) but I think characters that were not originally repaints should usually be reserved for a new mold. Just be patient. I think it's worse to create fan fatigue and its better to keep fans hungry for more.

I disagree, more opportunities to find your dream figure. Although some figures don't deserve to be repainted so much....Siege Megatron and some haven't been repainted enough ER Optimus Prime.

Speaking about running changes... did they do one for Blackarachnia's chest tab? 1st one I got broke pretty much out of the box, ended up giving it to my kid after he started watching BW.

Got a second copy this week, fully prepared to carefully untab it and sand it a little, and this one works like a charm, might even be a little on the loose side.

Imo having a bunch of repaints/ retools is a good thing. There are some figures that I don’t really like but the repaints convinced me otherwise. Ie I’m not a huge fan of kingdom tracks but I might pick up road rage.
And obviously some characters need it (like the Datsun brothers, seekers, Huffer to pipes, etc.). I just wish that they were all in one line and not split up into exclusivity in different stores. Makes it frustrating to collect.

I feel like there are some figures that are obvious and some which are totally obscure.

Name one figure that you wish could be included as a "Generations Selects-styled" Repaint/Slight Remold of a Figure.

There has been a few customs, and I know Blackout was a Micromaster in G1 but a Blackout from the Siege Spinister mold with the Rotorstorm head would be amazing. I suppose a version with the Spinister head would be nice since he has the movie style head. It’d be nice if they would also give him an extra set of rotorblades instead of the two already on that mold.

I'm hoping there's a running change in the Tracks mold legs for Road Rage. If not, I'll be picking up Robots '78 & JRC's leg panel locks files (or the printed parts).

Most obvious choice that I’m surprised still has not happened: Gen selects devcon out of SS scourge/ sweeps.
Now for one that’s not as obvious but still surprising has not happened yet: Toy Astrotrain

The tab was apparently way too long in a lot of early copies, and would break off if you tried to force it into the hole.

The fact that you have to partsform killed this for me. He just needs new shins with a longer tab.

Tracks and Road Rage are pretty good, but where's my boy Loud Pedal at?

Hoping he’s the Gen Selects release with a new blaster, but kinda want a Lockdown homage from this mold. The Corvette reminds me of his Animated alt mode a lot.

Having a G1-ified movie Blackout would be neat, but I'd also like to see a G2 Blackout from ER Starscream to go with Sandstorm and G2 Ramjet. Screenshot_20210804-104447_Samsung Internet.jpg

I want G1 Blackout first before G2 Blackout and G1ified Bayformer Blackout. But that's just me.

Ooh I would go for that myself, I’d love more and more seekers. Only one I don’t have is G2 Ramjet but I want to turn that into Slipstream.

To be fair, these days it’d be safer for Hasbro to just take inspiration from the movies. They did it with Barricade and he was a really welcome addition to WFC and allegedly the Micromasters didn’t sell very well (sadly means the chance of Mini-Cons happening anytime soon is null).

I somehow wasn’t aware of that.

My original has a loose neck too.

    YES! Please yes!
