Makes sense. Both Ratchet and Red Alert were their exclusives, so it only makes sense that Minerva would be as well. Argh. -_-

 

So back to the roads again. I'm not sure I care enough to go on another Walgreens hunt again. After tracking down 3 Bluestreaks over several months I'm not even going to look for Red Alert. How did Amazon and Wal-Mart become the easiest place for me to get their exclusives?

 

I’ll take Walgreens exclusive Minerva over no Minerva, so I don’t care. Although, if she’s anything like Siege Ratchet, maybe she’ll have more retooling than just a new head

Is it just her, or are they making Goshooter as well? IIRC, Cab and Hosehead are nearly identical so they wouldn’t need to make separate ones

 

My hope would personally be for Rewind to be available separately from him (Maybein a Core 2-pack with Nightstalker?), and that Twincast comes with Rosanna. Like you said earlier, nice, but non-essential (to me at least).

Also, glad Minerva's coming, and I'm lucky to have a Walgreens right down the street, so I'll be picking her up. I hope Pulse carries some stock of her so that people can get her that way as well. Additionally, while I'd love to see them each get their own molds, I could see Nightbeat and Siren/Goshooter sharing a mold. I do think there's a chance that won't happen though, seeing as they're getting their mileage out of Nightbeat by making Minerva, and Siren/Goshooter would have a similar benefit.

Crazy idea, but what do we think are the chances we get a new Pyro in the near future? With Hosehead on the way and Inferno already done we'd have two available fire truck molds, and they showed with Rotorstorm they're perfectly fine ignoring the original toys' gimmicks. It certainly wouldn't be ideal, and I'd love for him to get his own mold instead, but I'd certainly take this over tracking down the Botcon one or no Pyro at all.

 

Fortunely for me the local version of Amazon carries the walgreens exclusives too for some reason.

 

I mean DD was a virtual nobody for those not deep into the franchise and got a Leader class toy, I'd say there's hope

 

Boo. I usually don't have good luck getting Walgreen exclusives; I've never successfully got an online order from them, & the one exclusive I did get from them in-store I stumbled on. And since I work from home now, it's harder for me to just run out and check.

But you know what? I'm happy to be getting Minerva at all. Hopefully she's widely available for those who want her.

 

Save this and pm me when she comes out, I have 7 or 8 walgreens within driving distance, pretty sure I'll get one for me, won't mind grabbing a 2nd one for a fellow collector and send it your way for cost

 

I really hope that Minerva is closer to Red Alert and Bluestreak in terms of availability here rather than Ratchet.

I don't think it's fair to criticize the latter 2 for NOT being Jetfire lol. They came out the gates swinging in 2019 for sure. By the way, I got that Airwave repaint set from Amazon and it really bulked up Sky Lynx's base mode. I think it puts him on par with Jetfire now, at least in base mode And Rodimus is Rodimus! Commanders are high point of the line these days.

And anti-depressants, watching Ironhide get torched there really hurt as a kid.

I'd be into Thunderclash as long as done well. A retool of future/present Commander releases would make a satisfying one though and the plastic is there.

It would be nice if Pulse carried Minerva. I haven't seen them carry Kingdom Red Alert yet, but perhaps that's coming!

Sadly all of Europe has been completely fucked on Walgreens exclusives so far. Here in the Netherlands we were lucky to see Red Alert show up in webstores for "only" €38 (About $45) plus shipping. A record low for a Walgreens release...
