Don't think there's been any retail sightings in the States but looks like they're all showing up in places like Canada, the U.K., and countries in Asia.

Plus looks like Slug is available on Amazon. So piecemeal.

 

I'm guessing sometime in January. Bmac said that they would reveal the Needlenose interaction feature early in the New Year. We now know this to be Leader Class Skyquake.

 

More shops around the world are getting wave 1 or at least have listings ready for them. I guess reveal will happen in late January, early February.

 

I just wanna say that I have, at this point, seen two figures from Legacy wave 3 on store shelves. That being Crankcase and Elita 1. And Legacy Evo is already out.

Jeez.

 

Elita is wave 2.

 

I haven’t even seen wave 2 in the wild. Just wave 1 for several months

 

Elita was wave 2 and she (along with Knockout, Tarantulas, and Wildrider) were at my Target for maybe a week before back to wave 1 extra stock and wave 3 stuff (Skullgrin, Pointblank, and Crankcase).

 

Unless I'm remembering wrong we already have a Dark Amber Leo Prime listing for the mainline. Hard to keep track of everything these days

 

Oh yeah. I think I got confused because I've also barely seen any of wave 2.

 

It's going to be difficult to keep making "better" G1 figures, although those are the ones that sell. I still think Hasbro should pivot from toon accuracy to Diaclone/Microchange toy accuracy. Basically, original toy designs with added articulation. That would mean stuff like Ironhide actually having a chair head peering through his windshield and a sled designed for Diaclone figures. Bonus if the line stays in scale with Diaclone Reboot.

 

That would be cool, though I would like them to finish off the few remaining characters in this style to complete our collections.

 

We have a Nemesis Leo Prime listing, though we don't know if it will finally be the character from the Anime who's never had a toy, the toy Black Lio Convoy deco which was eventually renamed Dark Amber Leo Prime, or the Galvatron-colored Lio Convoy.

 

Been futzing with Legacy Goldbug(swapped fists, skis, shield grips, and necks between him and the SG, plus a couple of deco tweaks), and it has put my mind on the next "Collide" 4-pack, and I am wondering could the mandatory 'Bee be the WFC Sports car bod with a new Animated 'Bee bonce & deco, OR could it be a "Comics Universe" Goldbug in appropriated redeco (yellow Goldbug bonce with black/blue-black thighs & forearms, maybe also fists) OR could Team Hasbro be cheeky enough to use the GB head in yellow & silver as a G1 toy homage classic VW Bug 'Bee?
One Goldbug straight after another seems pushing it but the turnaround on Kingdom Dinobot/Maximal Grimlock/Toy Colours Maximal Dinobot does seem to show a relaxation on the cooling-off period between repaints?
Likewise would Animated Universe 'Bee be more likely to get a fuller retooling, or even new sculpt?
I'm kinda hoping he does get a dedicated sculpt or at least a substantial retooling as an Animated 'Bee done in the aesthetic of Legacy Animated Prowl might just serve me well as a different, modernised G1 'Bee on-shelf.

 

I'd probably put my bets on the toy colours, seeing as that's the closest to the traditional 'nemesis' colours, though the inconsistent naming by Hasbro does throw me off a little

Bmac, on his Instagram, said that Needlenose's secret feature would be showcased sometime in the New Year. We already know the "secret feature" is him being able to connect to Skyquake. Skyquake is part of Wave 2 now due to being pushed up a wave because of COVID.

 

That would be cool and I'd prefer the figures to have licensed altmodes if possible, as most of the Diaclones made into Transformers were licensed vehicles, like the Autobot Cars.

 

February at the absolute latest i would reckon, as it's the summer wave for this year, releasing in late may/early june

 

The only place that got wave 2 deluxes here was a comic store. Walmart hasn't gotten anything past wave 1. Gamestop has gotten wave 3.

 

Every once in a while I'll spot Wave 3 Deluxes or Cores at a Target. Haven't yet seen Voyagers/Leaders.

 

Based on a fair few places already having most of wave 1, I have a feeling that Hasbro wants wave 2 to be the Spring wave, between March and May.
