They can always be retconned as being the same character but as different upgrade levels. Assuming that Hasbro wants to give the name to yellow Tracks and their lawyers say that they can(the idea being ported on a public forum by someone not representing them and all)

I like the fact that High Beam was one of the original 28 names. Makes it feel more classic. Plus since they already used it, hopefully it will slip past the lawyers no matter what.

I'm wondering, if Shatter Glass does sell well, will Hasbro do in a few years a Beast Wars Shattered Glass line? A white Optimus Primal (to look like the albino gorillas from the movie Congo). A panther for Cheetor. A black plague rat for Ratrap.

 

I imagine it may not even need to be that long. Plus the SG colors were already set. Primal uses his Universe maroon and red colors, Megatron in Primal colors, I think fractyl for Terrorsaur, neat stuff all around

 

I don't know if that'd work since Shadow Panther exists.

 

Though, I say that they could make the Fanmade Transformer Initiative (or the Fanformer Initiative) where they allow the fans to create their own Transformers. It would work like Lego Ideas, where fans can design their own Transformers with both alternate modes and Robot Modes and then the other fans vote for which Transformer gets made into a toy. First of all, it outsources the designing of the characters and their bios to the fans, which removes that portion of the toy-making process. Secondly, it would give the fans the ability to design their own Transformers, which would really get the fans invested. Finally, it would be a hugely profitable endeavour for Hasbro. It would be a win-win situation. I'm surprised Hasbro and TakaraTomy haven't done them.
