Why is there not some sort of method where the staff can do something about people who just hate the Bayfilms and will go to any length to put others down for it? It's ridiculous to see people say things like "you have no taste" and "the movies outcome isn't subjective, critics say they suck so that means they do." Why can't there be a rule about showing a bit of respect for both sides? It's not that difficult, just don't insult the other guy for having a difference of opinion.
Hey, MnemonicSyntax, thanks for your concern. The main thing that can be done in these scenarios is for members to use the "report bad post" function (http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/images/2011/buttons/report.gif). When you see a problematic post, such as someone name-calling someone (see ref. Rule #1), this alerts Staff that there is a post that is problematic and needs attention. From there, Staff can then review that post and take action, if deemed necessary. That being said, we do encourage members to civilly discuss their thoughts and opinions, positively or negatively, in all of our forums. We certainly agree with you: members should express themselves in a manner that "plays nicely" with others. For more on what is expected of all members upon joining and participating on our fourms, see the the forums rules found here: http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/tfw2005-tech-support/631403-tfw2005-rules.html On a proactive note, we encourage members to also contribute well. A great many of our members do things such as reviews, toy research, creative things, etc. We greatly encourage all members to share what they can with our community. I hope this is of some help to you and your concern. Thanks again for passing this along to us. Rest assured we are taking measures to make our forum experience better!
I feel the new mods in the movie forum will help this situation and I'm very appreciative and grateful for them! Thanks guys!
