In some of these concept drawings it looks like Ravage's head with Megatron's body.. but whatever they do, hopefully they will have the "steek" Shockwave and give him a great bot body design as unique as the other robots. Keep lurking and taking pix for us!! :thumb

One of the better heads since you really don't have to ask who the character is. Yes there are some new elements but enough of the old elements blended in for instant recognition.

Well from what I can see of it, the head looks good. Now I can't wait to see the rest of the body.

I dreamed a while ago that Shockwave's personality, he acted more of a General Grievous like character.

Unlike that Ewok-head from yesterday, There's no confusion over who's head this is... :D  They had better not f#ck Shockwave up! But then again, This is the Bay-verse we're talking about...

Perhaps its an illusion using an angled image, but this prop looks more three-dimensional than the old-man-professor-bot from before.

Actually, that head-on-a-stick would make a pretty good "floating drone" for any sci-fi production.

I thought this strange as well...the head was not a front-shot like we've seen with the Bumblebee head and some of the others over the years.

In some of the pictures, the camera angle really does make it almost look like a physical 3-D prop.

I'm wondering if they'll pull this out over the next couple of days and do more reference for him out along Wacker Dr.

Awesome. Actually looks faithful to the original unlike Soundwave.

I suppose you don't watch Jeff Dunham.

I'm surprised no one said... "That's not Shockwave... That's Jose' Jalapeno On A Steek" :D

I`m likeing the look of Shockwave`s head. However he still doesnt seem like he is the big bad guy. It all seems like Bay is revealing the main villain too early and quickly. Probably so he can shuffle a "The Fallen" ressurection or bring in Unicron. With the scale of damage we will definently have the robot army Megatron had, probably under Shockwave`s command.

The only reason they do the heads is when the robots interact with humans. We can expect Shockwave to torture or capture (Maybe even kill) Sam at some point.

Hopefully Bay doesnt ruin Shockwave. If TF3 is ruined then Bay will be also be, i doubt any TF fan will like Bay if he messes up the final film aswell. Then again that might of been his plan all along =/

If that is Shockers, (and I bet it is) that'll soften the fanboy fury that resulted from balding-nerd-bot:)

And TF fans encompass what percentage of the billions this guy's movies bring in? I doubt he'd be ruined.

I worry for Shockwave's fate, since apparently this is an Autobot/US military-centric trilogy where the Decepticons are nothing more than cannon fodder for Go Army promotions.
After all, the Fallen, the very founder of the Decepticons and Megatron's mentor, lasted all of 12 seconds.
Megatron, the commander and biggest bad-ass of the Decepticon forces routinely gets his bad-ass handed to him.
Devastator, the only Decepticon with balls-o-steel gets whacked by the twins and a US military gun.
    Whoop-de-doo.

I like the movies in that they're action-packed giant fighting robots with names that resemble the ones I grew up with, but seeing the inevitable death of my favorite character of all time really makes me hope that the head on a stick is a drone.

It could be that they're planning on making the light bright enough to act as a light source in the movie. By having the light already mounted on his face they can usually get a good glow on any affected objects or people without having to resort to too much cgi. It also helps the animators as a guide for where the lights should be facing.

They did something similar with Dr Manhattan in the Watchmen movie, although with him it was on a much more intense scale. Though the actor was completely replaced by his cgi model for the final edit, they still covered him in blue LEDs in order to get just the right sort of glow around him. It's just a little time/money saver that tends to work really well.

Either that or Bay wanted everyone to notice that head.
