Primal here looks great in my opinion. Just hope he gets more red, blue and white because this looks a bit bland (also it looks a bit prototype-ish)

Ohh ah whole range of core class beast formers at around a 1/32 scale and would be pretty irresistible!

Both of those designs are ace. I love how Prime's alt mode is a homage to his Prime Beast Hunters alt. Hopefully they both get the studio series treatment

Considering this figure is pictured next to one we've seen promo images for, this is almost certainly the final version (or close enough). And it gels with the idea that the BW guys are going to be more single tone/living metal than the guys with vehicle alts.

This Optimus Primal design feels like it was made up by Hasbro for the toy. Zero of the robot mode parts match the visual language the movie concept art people go for, and the head has much less detail and a cartoony mouth.

Eh I don’t care (not trying to be rude) if Mirage will be G1 Mirage head on a G1 Jazz body.

Yes... you're right...was probably hoping against hope...he just had to have a bit more paint to make him look attractive/accurate to BW

Accurate to what though? Odds are this is pretty close to what he looks like in the movie. Which is what these are based on, not the originals.

Well...meh. That Primal is giving off major Blast Punch vibes to me. And the Optimus looks more like a -kind of appropriately- Beast Hunters Prime. I do find the Tigatron crossbow that shoots wiener bolts kind of inspiring tho.

at least now they\'ve got an extra year to redesign stuff for the pushed-back movie release.

I hope Primal\'s design is a little less monochrome irl. Just some dark blue highlights would do it.

Well that's actually a really decent Primal design but good god what's wrong with using color in a movie? It's one of the dumbest concepts producers have. The irony that Primal isn't the most colorful bot anyway really makes this seem like trying too hard to be better than something that they can't top. That's definitely not a color scheme that is appealing, dynamic, or cool.

Prime looks fine. Will they even look like this though? And of course even if they look better (they did in BB no doubt) will the movie still be vapid? Because BB was still really vapid.

If these are legends/core/whatever scale, I will 100% buy them.

Maybe they can for anything that would have gone in to Studio (and odds are pretty good we'll start seeing more repaints/86 stuff to help pad that gap), but that 2022 movie tie-in line is almost certainly locked in. Because that takes coordination with retailers to ensure they've got shelf space. The same thing happened to Hasbro before with GI Joe Retaliation, and then their Marvel branch took a blow when the MCU started getting pushed back after the distribution for Widow and Shang-Chi was already set with retailers.

What they seem to be doing is leaning in to the skid by putting some of it in the Cyberverse packaging. That's already established with general audiences at retail, so it won't look odd on store shelves. And from the store's perspective the DPCI's and assortment names referencing MV7 are irrelevant as long as the product is on shelves when they were anticipating it.

Primal looks really good but those colours make him look like he needs a hug.

Hopefully he has more colour in the movie itself and this is just a toy budget thing.

If this is what Optimus Primal will look like in live action, I love it! It couldn't be more perfectly him! Only thing I'd change is add a splash of color. Maybe make his head at least blue?

Great design for Primal, but is this the return of drab Michael Bay metal colors?
