I know this figure isn’t for collectors, but it looks like a knock-off you’d find at a Dollar Store. But hey, at least it’s looking better than Prime.

He actually looks pretty decent, despite the lacking articulation. If this is representative of Bumblebee's appearance in the movie, I can wait to see the Deluxe figure.

 

Probably due to the lack of color separation, but even next to that Optimus he looks pretty bad. And I was completely fine with primal and prime.

 

It's a shame there's so little painted detail in robot mode, as it looks pretty decent for a less complex figure, especially now they seem to have reined in the gimmicks to simple flip out weapons. I quite like that they've blended the Bay and Knight styles rather than just plonking Camaro kibble on VW Bee, though I guess it could be seen as giving credence to ROTB somehow being a prequel to the Bay movies.

 

I don't care if Bumblebee looks bad in this new film, because Bee is a shitty overrated fuck anyways.

Agreed, probably with the other characters as well like Mirage and Wheeljack. Do kind of sucks that Hasbro was able to delay the deluxes to next year. Which is a good thing in general for them but as someone who was wanting them the most out of all the figures it does suck a little.

 

please rotb, have an end-credits scene showing shockwave, starscream and soundwave coming to earth and stating "we've finally found you, Lord Megatron"
so that we can cement this as being a reboot/retelling of the bayverse timeline with some new aspects and new designs

 

That or it's Megatron on his throne saying something like "set course for Earth"

Overall design still looks like travis' bumblebee to me tho? Sure some of the bay bee design's elements are sprinkled here and there but not enough to call it a bay design.

 

I know it's a gimmick toy for kids but even with the Bay elements the design still looks a bit more Travis-like than Bay-like. That is of course if the actual final CGI design has those Bay elements and this figure is not just based on concept art or the designers just giving him Bay elements.

 

Eh I’d rather have a scene that for sure says it’s a reboot. Bayverse has run its course unfortunately and it’s probably best to not stay tied to its messy universe.
