Looks more or less like his BB design just with rollbars on top of his limbs and small additions to his knees and toes. I’m glad that body is sticking around.

People talking about "oh it's another Bumblebee" or "Oh man Bayverse or not" and here I am trying to hold my urge to fangirl over this because he's a fucking rally/off road Camaro. I'm going to get EVERY FUCKING OFF ROAD CAMARO BUMBLEBEE!!

 

I don't see it similar to bayverse one at all

 

Studio Series SS18 Bumblebee is 5 inches tall (to the top of his door wings).
Comparatively, Energon Igniters Speed Series Bumblebee (Camaro version) is 3 inches tall.

I look forward to seeing the full CGI design. This is kind of how I expected him to look...essentially an intermediate form between his 2018 design and his 2007 design. I never thought they'd use the Camaro CGI model from the end of the 2018 film, because he looked really wonky and rushed (even in that darkly-lit forest). I'm excited to see a more refined 2018 Bumblebee in the Camaro form. I'm also glad they went with the Bay-style gun, I never really liked his gun in the 2018 film (maybe the only aspect of his design I didn't like).

I honestly think a lot of the reboot stuff was more wishful fan thinking than anything. I think a lot of people got excited when Hasbro made that statement about the "new storytelling universe" (which is honestly a pretty vague and noncommittal statement), and that provided confirmation bias for the reboot rumor that had been going around since October or November 2018 (and that people had been wanting since at least 2014).

You also have to keep in mind that statement was made in early 2019, which was presumably long before Joby Harold even wrote his script, and long before those new writers wrote the final script. Even if they were planning to go the reboot route in 2018 or 2019, things change over the course of three years. Maybe Paramount initially panicked after TLK's failure, then calmed down a bit over the next year or so, and were more open to continuing in the Bay timeline. Especially since there's more and more nostalgia growing for the 2007 movie.

Nice design for Bee. Like how they blended in some bayverse Bee ques like on the arms and abdomen so it appeals to all.

 

Yeah, see, that's very counterintuitive regarding corporate's needs. So, if you could be a team player, place aside your own self desires for a long stretch of time, that'd be great.

 

But all robot mode details are taken from what he looked like in the Bumblebee movie? The only difference seems to be that they're getting rid of the VW Beetle engine details on his gut and arms (which makes sense since he is not a beetle anymore)

 

Hasbro announced a reboot in february 2018 after TLK flopped and they removed TF7 from 2019 slate. At toy fair I think.

By the looks of it, Prime and Bee look to be in their own lines. If Bee at least was in the same series of figures like Primal, he'd have 5mm compatible hands which he clearly doesn't. Prime has the holdable hands, yes, but he has the fold-out weapon like Bee (his ofc being the energon sword with Bee having his classic plasma cannon. Not the stinger blaster like in the BB film tho, which I'm on the fence about fsr)

I love Beast Wars and I love Mad Max. I also adore Transformers but six live action movies later tells me not to expect anything from this franchise.
