I always thought Leadfoot was the leader lol.
he is? i always thought, from watching dotm, that leadfoot came off as the leader
Same here, but judging from their toy tech specs (may be unreliable), Roadbuster has a rank of 9 as opposed to Leadfoot's Rank of 6 or 7
It bugs me when they seem to try to avoid naming a transformer. They kind of drug out revealing Hotrod's name and that was ok for such a big deal character. But with randoms like "Topspin" they really should have had Simmons drop the name briefly and early on. I'm leaning towards it being someone new (ha I was hoping for Mirage actually). I feel like they really wanted it to be clear that no other autobots survived Lockdown's hunting. Though, hanging with Simmons would have made sense as a possible loop hole.
Well I always took "volleybot" to mean placeholder to hide its topspin. Or a nickname for an unnamed robot used only for the gimmick of playing volleyball.
If volleybot is actually this things real name, we'll move over Que and Dino, there's a new bot in town and he is competing for laziest name ever.
I'll be honest, I recognise the wreckers as wreckers, but I don't know if i even know which is which. They don't really stand out as individuals!
"Volleybot", "Que", "Nitro Zeus"
They're all placeholder names that Paramount was too lazy to go back and fill in once Hasbro sent down the names to use.
Leadfoots the leader
Well Leadfoot sure isn't the leader anymore.
I don't think it was either wrecker.
I think an animator simply took 2 models and slapped them together.
Think robot with 2 Shockwave heads...
Not an eff-up.
Dreadbot, Mohawk, beserker, nitro.. This movie was the laziest with names. At least AOE just straight up didn't name anyone.
Yup. The people in this thread are putting more thought into it than Paramount.
Without a doubt.
I honestly don't see what's wrong with these names. They're in the same line of names as Bumblebee, Swoop, or Gears.
Bumbleebee and gears don't describe a physical trait of the bot as Mohawk and dreadbot do. I suppose I can give a pass to nitro and beserker but barely. Espeically when there's plenty of actual decepticon names from the last 30 years that could use
To some of us it's a fun debate.
Physical traits as in like Wasp or Hook?
And they tried using original Decepticon names. People didn't like that so they went back to creating new names. I mean, you saw how disappointed people were with Onslaught.
Where was ROADBUSTER?
Separate names with a comma.
