Well, technically both are "Generations" right? One is called "Generations Combiner Wars" and that's transitioning into "Generations Titan Wars". So it's not really that important which sub-brand is on the box.

I am awaiting the crushing feeling of finding out it is just a retool of CW Ultra Magnus.

I know it is going to be, and I like that toy, but I really want a proper Powermaster Optimus Prime update as his own brand new mold.

Cab has to transform into a robot, Powermaster has to plug into the chest (not just sit in the cockpit) and trailer needs to have sides - not be a car carrier.

No, the rumor is that the heads transform into little humanoid robots, and many of the figures will ALSO include animal recordicons in the new style of the Legends Buzzsaw we saw. These will be Deluxes, but as a new high Voyager price point, to accomidate them not being hollow crap with no accessories like we have gotten recently.

 

While he is almost definitely is a retool of Ultra Magnus you are likely going to get SOME of your wishes: The trailer will likely have sides and the cab will plug into the trailer.

As for there being a cab robot, chances are it will likely not happen, but i'm sure there will be a plethora of third-party upgrades to satisfy any perceived shortcomings the figure may have:

1. Cab Robot
2. Apex armor
3. Better gun gripping hands (on less this is corrected)
4. Alternate head with red/blue eyes (because you are going to disappoint someone one way or another).

So just some clarification, deluxes will be given additional figure/parts similar to the Thrilling 30 Legends figure 2 packs, but at a higher price point and scale that equates to about a Voyager?

 

He was my last G1 Prime, still have him in his box in fact...granted both are really worn out and bruised, had to make a new foam insert, but nonetheless...still have him...still with the price tag on it.

He was never my favorite Prime, but he is still on display on my Prime shelf.

Sounds exciting, until you realize he's a retool of Ultra Magnus, which means no separate cab mode, which was much more inherent to his design than Magnus. Per rumor he's an all in one and I think a Headmaster too, so just another Optimus, even if the design is made to look similar (but really all Optimus designs are very derivative anyway).

They better have remolded him well because that trailer form also doesn't work at all.

 

A new Powermaster Prime is something I've been waiting for for a very long time. A retool of CW Magnus is fine in my books, as long as it isn't just a new head and some red paint.

Any type of Thunders would be sweet.

Ditto. My parents could never find the original OP in stores when I was a kid and I vividly remember finding PP at a hardware store, showing it to my dad and then getting it later for my birthday.

I'm hoping it's all new with an integrated Hi-Q and seperate transforming cab...not just a remold/repaint of UM & Ambus, but I'm expecting it will be the latter. Regardless, I'm still excited and I'll still get one.
