I bought this repaint because the underlying jet mode deco looks WAY better than the 2007 movie version. But I cannot stand the tattoos. Overall this release looks way more polished and even the weapons look better to me. Now I'm wishing TT would do repaints of a few more. Ratchet with a nicer finish or a DOTM Prime would be fantastic.

What I would like to do is display this one in bot mode and MPM-10 in jet mode. But the MPM-10 jet mode looks awful. I also own the Studio Series version which has a great jet mode deco so I'll probably just continue to use that and possibly sell MPM-10. I really wish they would do a nicer version of MPM-10 without the tattoos.

I’m fond of it. Reminds me of the 2007 Voyager. That being said I can’t help but feel a little bemused that they went with tan considering how the ROTF leader they sold as MPM-1 already has the dark grey color scheme.

 

Are MPM Starscream's robot mode wings supposed to look like that? Or did fxfranz mistransform him? I don't own one but I remember thinking his wings were more accurate than that.

 

They are mistransformed. The wings can move up and down and you can flare them out to make them accurate.

 

Chefatron positioned them incorrectly.
I've seen them positioned the way he has em on other photos but I dunno how anyone can get it wrong after all this time.

Still don't fully understand what was the deal with mpm1

 

They felt it was a good enough mold to start the MPM line, I guess.
Which it was for a while, until MPM-10 came.
But that made me realize, the MPM-10 KO Repaint
is based off of MPM-01.

 

MPM-01 really fucking somehow has a more accurate paintjob than MPM-10.

 

Is this the same old Hasbro Leader mold or a new mold ?

Come to think of it, why doesn’t Tatscream have the blue cheeks either? That knock-off and the MPM-01 funnily enough, but not the new version.

The color scheme looks really good. Too bad for them I already have a superbly painted (and customized) KO and OSKO of this design.

 

The KO definitely is painted better, but I feel like while the silver should be metallic and skinny, it's almost too metallic and shiny on the OSKO and KO. Still they look good.
