Np, I do it for fun, I've been checking amazon.ca and .com everyday since the amazon.nl listing, when I saw .com had it I went to the other sites and found it in China and Japan

 

amazon japan seller emailed me he can ot ship to USA

AFTER i paid for it

 

I thought the theory was that he's an Amazon Prime Day release. Did that get debunked?

Though mine was purchased elsewhere, I checked on him but yup, still region locked in Amazon.com. Amazon JP though has one available. Do they ship out of Japan? That's the question.

 

still a bit odd since Amazon has established their exclusives the last couple years as "closed box multipacks" (aside from AU Prime, who's still packed closed box style)

I keep coming back to Bluestreak was probably supposed to be an exclusive somewhere else like Walgreens and for some reason things didn't work out.

Reason I think Walgreens is they've done the single figures in standard line boxes the last few years (Seige Ratchet, PotP Wreckgar, Titan Return Clones* and Brainstorm)... I can'r recall, has anyone else received an exclusive like that? Walmart has had standard packaging but custom designs/sublines, Target has been a lot of multipacks...

* at least I think that was a standard deluxe box

I grabbed a Smokescreen as well from Amazon Japan and that seller had no problem. Same price too ($15USD or thereabouts)

 

A quick tip for amazon links - they can be drastically shortened from multi line sprawlers!

All you need is the local site address - https://amazon.com, https://amazon.co.jp, https://amazon.co.uk etc followed by /dp/ followed by the ASIN which in Bluestreak's case is B087YT53GY. In MOST cases the ASIN should be identical across all Amazon sites as you've discovered - the Coneheads on Amazon.ca being a notable exception.

The clones were a unique box as opposed to the carded deluxes at the time. Other retailers that have had similar style exclusives in the last few years would be the may mayhem online exclusives during combiner wars (slingshot, wildrider and groove) though they weren't exclusive to a single store, Cyberverse Warrior Slipstream at Target, Studio Series Thundercracker at ToysRUs initially and Studio Series Leadfoot. Selects Redwing at Target also got standard packaging for the line he was released in

Thank you! Yeah, I really wish they hadn't used clear plastic there and it's why I'd like to find another one as...backup.
