Here's a decently easy pointblank custom to do, he's a little short currently but I plan on fixing that tonight

Aren't they attached with a simple screw? Seems simple enough to me, but I haven't tried it yet myself.

Yes but you'll need to keep the screw matched up with the face it come from, and some of the screws are different lengths or the TM bodies are different thicknesses. My TM Megatron has some stress marks on his nose from not knowing this before I swapped faces.

Maybe it's part of the new show. Not direct ringers for the WFC design, but a Cybertronian Orion Pax/Optimus Prime and it'd gonna be called "Transformers Tribute" Probably not but you n

    Nailed it!

You know seeing the alt modes pictured on the box I can kind of understand having those two molds together. There's a certain similarity in their alt modes that I feel makes this set sort of work.
I'm not sure why you would think the FOC mold was a pretool for Magnus. Prime had that body in the FOC game; Magnus never did. The mold was obviously meant to be Optimus first and foremost; it was just a variation of the usual Prime into Magnus albeit with a new head and super robot based deco for a change.
Granted I got Magnus and not Prime cuz Magnus is cooler in every aspect (plus the extra sword) but there's really nothing about that mold that screams Prime as the secondary usage.

In the case of FOC that was entirely my perception. Since I first held it. I knew everything Optimus about it were only placeholders to someone in design.

Yes, most of that is in my head; mass market toy limitations not capturing the model enough for me. But the points it should get for accompanying media are stripped away for setting the precident for the curse.

As cool as the set is I don't need it and $60 is too much for two $15 figures.

But the set and the price haven't been officially revealed.
I wouldn't take the $60 TFSource price tag as the actual price.

$60?? I was prepared to pay $40 even though I already have the WFC Optimus. He's a good mold but I really would rather have it as a different character... Defeats the purpose of the set, but yeah..
