So, Sarah Zhang, a well known KO seller in the FB groups, is talking of an upcoming Kronos KO with the issues fixed.

I thought fanstoys was releasing a version of this with ALL the issues fixed... 

 

For us po' folk this is great news

 

For people who just don't like the beefiness of Fanstoys Skyfire this is great news.

 

If it's 1/2 (or under) the price of the FT one it may have a market...

 

This dude was really really crappy. Possibly one of the worst figures from all the stuff I've read. It might end up being one of the best KOs though. You never know

 

If they can fix the tolerances, and smooth out the leg/feet transformations, this could be a decent option for some.

It looked great in a MP display, but the numerous issues and design choices really hurt the figure.

 

I do prefer a lot of the look of this figure over the FT one no doubt so that is pretty good news.

I don't think that the design was so bad, just the manufacturing was not up to par.

Great if the cost is low. Maybe a slight face change also......

If this happens with reasonable quality and price in line with "ehhhh, KO" expectations, I will be glad I dodged that cheap but shitty build quality original Kronos I could have bought a while back.

I'm kinda surprised they see an improved KO as viable, given that they'd have to invest effort to improve the toy both tolerance/design and materials-wise and compete against the FT version. Which leads me to hope that the retail on this thing is not only not going to be prohibitive, but priced to move.

Let's have more news of this when there's news to be had.

I know some people may be happy about this but after seeing Phoenix, this could be $50 and I still wouldn't get it.

 

To be honest, there are many better choices for KO other than Kronos. I just can't see the merit in it.

 

It does seem like a wasted effort. The hands will need to be redesigned entirely, the transformation will never be solid and the ankles will likely still be problematic. Still, I have a useless arm on one of mine that'd I'd be interested in replacing if a KO were made available at a reasonable price.

 

I think she may be acting as translator between us and the manufacturer. I'll Point her to this thread so she has a solid list.

Fwiw, I have nothing to do with it outside of being in active in a couple of groups she's posted in. But she is very well known in the FB community, so if they can pull this off, she would definitely be helpful in the process.

 

KO makers have been doing some amazing stuff lately, so I won't discount this outright.

Yep, these days when I hear 'KO' my ears perk up because there's such a good probability that it'll be a superior product.

I think there's definitely room for an improved Kronos. He looked fantastic but suffered from poor manufacturing and a handful of questionable design choices. I'd get one. I like how fanstoys looks but it's way too honkin' big for my tastes.

 

I own Kronos and the only issue I have with it was the QC. I think it's one of the best representations of the character. If a new KO comes out and has better QC, I will be more than happy to pick one up.

 

Wonder is Daca is involved with this. Someone who has personal reasons to undercut Fanstoys lol. Sell it to break even just to take sales away from Phoenix
