I bought this from one of my usual Asian sellers in hopes it was the Buzzworthy 86 Hound. When it arrived I noticed things were different and I was a little disappointed. But then I realized g1 hound never came in this Color, there are die cast parts and there are no chrome parts. I may examine this a little more later. But could his be a reissue we could expect in the future and does it bring potential for more g1 toys?

Very interesting. I would agree I’ve never seen that combination of die cast and bare grey plastic accessories before.

Reissuing G1 toys for the 40th anniversary is highly plausible. Hound would be especially welcome, since they didn't do him for the Commemorative Series.

 

Looks pretty darn nice.

What I find interesting is that this mold hasn't been used in nearly 2 decades at this point, it makes me think that they rebuilt the mold. Which is weird because Hound is not really that popular, hope that means we see more of these though.
