Reminds me of the old Jafcon Convoy from 2001

Im surprised no other releases were made over the years. Seems to be an autobot like the Nucleon Quest Super Convoy

 

Transformers Encore (spelled Enkore), 35th branding, black Optimus... Looks really cool. I hope it is real. I'm not familiar with other Takara Encore releases to know if the "Enkore" misspelling is accurate to Takara releases or not.

It says it's a limited edition on the back. The name on the front of the box reads Nucleon Quest Convoy.

If this is legit, we should probably hear something about it from TT soon.

Everything about it feels a bit off to me though. For starters, Japanese releases of Convoy have never had that gray colored bit on the box between the cab and the trailer.
Encore being misspelled is also strange, but it wouldn't be the first time for TT to make a typo.
The color gradient on Japanese boxes normally starts from black on the top and then turns to red. Here it goes from red to yellow, more akin to American boxes.

Could just be a custom box with a KO figure inside. Dunno why someone would go through the trouble of making such a nonsensical box though.

Well if it is a fake then it's a well done fake. But this "Enkore" is likely just a fake.

 

I'm leaning more toward fake now.
One other thing: "Made in China"
Aren't the Transformers nearly all "Made in Vietnam" now?

Nope. Looks like a KO of the special JAFCON 15th Anniversary G1 Black Convoy released in 2001. Nice try though...

This. All Takara Encore releases have a different font than the one plastered half haphazardly on the customed made box above.

 

Also, didn’t Warden say the reason the latest reissue of Optimus came without his trailer is because the moulds for it are worn out?

That sounds kinda hokey, though. At this point, there must have been fifty gajillion different molds for the trailer that have been in use. There were multiple different molds at use back in the 1980s already, and considering just how many reissues of Optimus there have been in the past 20 years, it simply cannot all have been the same toolings. So Hasbro have always been willing to create a new tooling for G1 Optimus Prime whenever they needed, which means them now saying "nuh-uh, mold's depleted" means they just don't want to.

 

This actually seems very credible, especially with the 35th logo and encore logo. Hasbro was probably just bullshiting with the trailer because they wanted to get the most money out of us for the reissue.

 

Encore logo IS SPELT WRONGLY. GOOD GOD..
