Different type of plastic used, unpaintable. Paint won’t chemically bond to it like the rest of the figure.

Again, sorry. I read the first couple of pages and then just jumped to the end, you're right, I should have read a bit more.

Sideswipe is waiting to make Sideways split. So in the mean time, he's making a Banana Split.

When the leaked photos came out I thought it was a troll but seeing these photos totally changed my point of view to 180°. I love how the figure looks, it looks fabulous with its color palette, only the color of its head looks a little strange, instead of being gray that it has in the figure it is a silver color and I don\'t think that color looks good in the head but if the rims of the wheels were good. Also, if it has some details that I don\'t like, like the backpack it has, it\'s missing a couple of hinges to reduce the backpack and maybe compact like in the movie, although I\'m not wrong if I brought a backpack (although it already justifies that I bring a backpack) but I really love it and I like the figure

sideways is like that gym guy who is kinda short but its massive as fuck AND runs fast.

truly we must thank sideswipe for ending him before he transformed into robot mode and whiped off the earth

Combining aspects of the leaked images (the non-sunken in head, the bumper being folded up) and the review (raised shoulders), Sideways is shaping up to be a pretty well rounded figure. A perfect figure, no, but a solid entry into SS nonetheless, and not as bad as some are making it out to be.

    gonna blow your mind:

studio series deluxe bay-universe cars have always been that height, it's not remotely new

bay bumblebee was that height, barricade was that height, the three wreckers were that height, jazz, and all the bumblebee movie car folks are that height

that's just the scale they are so that they're the right size relative to the airplanes and tanks in voyager class

    it's fine

Didn\'t Sideways have a visor in the film?

Glad to see it transformed correctly in the hands of someone competent.

I know some are averse to ball joints but I'm very impressed with the articulation this guy has, he has basically EVERYTHING except a wrist swivel (which would have been nigh impossible to include here, but he does have finger joints). He's got a ball jointed head, fully poseable arms, a waist swivel (which is not a given on SS Deluxes), full leg movement and ball jointed ankles (which, again, not many SS Deluxes get ankle tilt these days). Bravo!

It's really baffling just how much Chefatron missed in his review. How long did he handle the figure before filming it, 5 minutes?

No, it may have looked that way since you only see him in robot mode briefly and in motion, so there's some blurring together of everything which gives his eyes a visor-like look. But his head as it appears on the SS figure is 100% accurate sculpt-wise (if not paint-wise).

Does this figure split in two so we can re-create his demise?

IMHO, such a waste of plastic for a character who drive a little bit, transformed, then was killed; I think on screen for a minute.

Studio Series did a neat job in capturing him well, considering we don’t see him much in RoTF.

BETTER PHOTOS. Looking good, Sideways. Head finally in the right position and the back kibble folded up properly. Bought.
