Interesting that they gave deluxe bee and voyager battletrap clear windows as separate pieces, yet gave scourge the painted clear plastic treatment.

I had hopes that by virtue of being a leader class surely Scourge would get the same treatment. Guess not. I’m not seeing where the leader budget goes on this guy unfortunately.

It's completely baffling. What, exactly, about the size or complexity puts him out of range of the Voyager price point? And if they had to bump him up, did he really fill out the full leader budget as-is?

Interesting that his grill contains Terrorcon insignias as well.

Also, the blaster forming the back part of the truck to make it screen-accurate is genius.

And that’s my thing. This really looks like it fell at a weird in between, too expensive for Voyager, too cheap for a leader. And instead of using that extra budget to I don’t know, make clear plastic inserts, replace the rubber used for his grill and claw, they just bumped it up and hoped that being the “main bad guy” was good a reason as any.

I don’t understand what he said, which part of the hinge joint should be sanded to prevent breaking?

The one directly attached to the clear plastic. His right thumb is pointing to it.

sort of. He recommends you sand the entire ridge along the hinge, because in general unless its rounded it will cause stress on the plastic.

The review gives him a better look but he's still not worth $55 plus in my book. So if he turns up somewhere for around $25 via clearance or at ROSS or Ollie's then the Dead-verse will be awaiting a new General...

Yeah, I'm not convinced this guy wouldn't fit fine at the voyager price point, considering seeing him side by side with voyager ROTF Megatron. But while I maybe, POSSIBLY could be wrong about that (in which case I blame Hasbro for pinching the budget as we now know they're doing), he sure as hell doesn't fill out his leader price point. I can sand those ridges down easy enough, and he looks like a cool toy. But I'm not paying leader prices for this. He either goes on a major sale at some point (which is likely considering he's early-year release) or that's yet another figure I'll be skipping.

We keep talking about shrinking figures, and then get told we're full of it. But then we keep seeing this crap.

Corporate wants you to find the difference between these two figures:

One feels like a guy who actually turns into a truck and is worth his price point.

    The other is Scourge.

Again, where are you guys getting studio series figures at discount/clearance? I've never seen it, ever.

Not feeling this one. His face looks strange. I would love to have that mask/faceplate come off.

Twenty bucks prime rips his faceoff.

Oh, we don't get told it's not happening – we just get told it's a-okay and please think of Hasbro's needs before our own, and that we shouldn't complain.

Well last year I only paid $21 for SS86 Coronation Starscream courtesy of a clearance sale at Gamestop. But because of this figure being part of a new movie, it's quantity could be much higher at retail. But I'm willing to bet that like adult collectors, most parents won't be paying $55 on action figures this Summer either. Thus leaving a lot of them to shelfwarm. But if it doesn't, it's not that high on my "to get list" as say, SS86 Snarl is.

So if it doesn't drop in price, I'll simply skip it....

But like, what general retail stores ever drop their prices on TFs? My walmart, target, and Meijer sure don't.

Oh well. At least it'll be real easy for me to get my hands on a Scourge when he drops, judging by how many people say they don't want one. Oh well! I like not having to hunt very hard!

Alright, I understand wanting to get a figure early. I’ve dabbled in it a bit myself. But this, this is a level of absurd I didn’t think was possible. $600 for this thing?!
