Scourge’s neck thing reminds me of Kai and Drago Bludvist’s long warrior hair and I’m more than okay with that. Adding Peter Dinklage’s voice to that makes me even more okay with it.

 

I don't know why that's such a hard concept for folks to understand. Someone in another thread was trying to argue with me saying the Maximals don't have color because the real-life animals don't have colors. You can have a realistic beast mode that ends up converting into a robot with additional colors. The fact that they could do it in the '90s but they can't do the same in 2023 in a $200M movie is ridiculous. Hell, the beast modes aren't even realistic animals so I'm not even sure if that part matters.

I just want a little bit of blue and red on Primal's bot mode instead of him being completely grayscale. Hopefully, that's not too much to ask.

That central truck cab with the clear plastic is interesting. Looks like an excellent case for working an LED light into it to see how it works. Just thinking a tea light from the dollar store would do.

It's equally confusing that we're just past 15 years in to the live action universe and people are struggling to adjust to the bots being mostly monochromatic.

I agree they could be more colorful but for whatever reason that's what Hasbro/Paramount went with so I'll take it under consideration and move on since I love me some BW figures.

It probably is. The more I hear about him the more he seems like the live action version of Tarn.

 

In a sense yeah he kinda is, just working for Unicron not Megatron.

 

They name dropped The Fallen while showing him off. So I wouldn't rule out him having ties to that as well.

 

Could yeah, also he does give off The Fallen vibes for sure.

 

But we didn't have this issue with the Bumblebee movie. It's very strange to see a downgrade in this department.

 

Beginning to notice some similiarities to lockdown with this guy, lanky, non-standard hand, swap out weaponry, long neck, bounty hunter like, keeps keepsakes of kills (badges on the grill, concept art for AOE Lockdown had him steal insignias from bots he killed) mad max like vehicle mode.

 

Bee had way fewer robots which helped tell them apart already.

In general I'm surprised they immediately went back to "BIG KABOOM GIANT ROSTER" with RotB after Bee but I dunno if that being a good movie clicked with them because it didn't make bank.

So they reverted to what worked in the past. Which sounds about right for Paramount lately.

Yeah tbh it kinda feels like they only looked reverie scores for the film, and went straight back to the usual formula instead of looking at why people liked BB.

 

Don\'t get me wrong I am over the moon excited for ROTB but could we get some more bayverse stuff soon. I\'m dieing for a good mainline Hound, Onslaught, and Nitro Zeus. I get Galvatron, Crosshairs and Hot Rod weren\'t that long ago but SS was so dead in 2022. I mean yeah we got some really good figures but SS definitely took a backseat to generations. Let\'s ease up on 86, wait for ROTB until the movie actually comes out, stop with a Bumblebee every wave and finish off some core bayverse characters 

And I got to explain myself because I know someone will without hesitation try to twist my words. I don\'t hate g1 I\'m just kinda burnt out on it. After Siege, Earthrise, and the repacks in Kingdom, plus ss86, I\'m just bored with it. 

 

I was thinking maybe Scourge is actually the Beeverse/Knightverse incarnation of Megatronus Prime (who was the Fallen)?

 

Would love to get my hands on a SS Hound AOE and TLK modes, AOE car mode Drift and hey, maybe have another crack at that Knight Prime design as a Leader Class.

Also SS Onslaught, Dreadbot, Nitro, Mohawk, TLK Barricade, Berserker, TLK Bee, Scorn, Strafe, Slug, Sqweeks, the Knights that form Dragon Storm, Que, BB Shockwave, TLK Megatron
Also I know they are generally hated but maybe a SS of Skids and Mudflap, Infernocus, Quintessa.

Maybe they can do these after ROBT. There is enough there for 3 more waves. I'm sure there are others that I am forgeting right now, but there is still plenty of Bayverse stuff that could benefit from SS versions of themsealves.

Wouldn't surprise me given what we know of the plot so far...it sounds like it's just ROTF all over again. The fact they described designing Scourge as like a furnace on fire or something...very Fallen-esque.
