There’s no mainline scourge coming. We know all the mainline figure listings because they were meant for release last year and got held back. There was no plan to keep making inaccurate figures based on concept art past the movie’s release when studio series was meant to take that spot.

He’s also not the only one getting shafted mainline figure wise, arcee isn’t getting one either.

 

I doubt they’ll be jumping into a multiverse storyline with this film. It’s more likely these are either just cool Easter eggs for fans, or someone on the design team googled “Transformers logos” and then put as many as they could on the grill.

 

People saying it looks like he skipped leg day, I can see why yall would say that, maybe a 3P will come out with something to bulk up the legs

 

Looking fucking RAD in these new images. The gap in the truck hood sucks but everything else is cool.

 

I don't recall seeing that one on the truck used for filming

 

Tbh given he’s a leader class figure, At that point instead of upgrading the legs and boosting it another $30, I would rather they just make a new figure of him.

Seems to have all of them from what I can see.

 

It’s a bit hard to see, but the IDW Wreckers logo is there. There is also an odd one on the middle right.

But I don’t see the Unicron horns or the other unidentified one from the toy.

We already knew of all the listings, just not who each code name went to. Now all of them have been revealed. Again, Hasbro planned for studio series to carry in ROTB in 2023. It makes no sense for them to have planned a wave 2 of mainline figures when they were purely meant to be be hold over toys on shelves during he movie’s release.

 

Pretty mixed on this figure.

The good:

+nice tall bot
+multiple weapons with playability
+seems well-articulated
+also a fan of the beefy truck mode that kept all the grill insignias

The bad:

-very skinny design, Scourges usually have more bulk
-gaps in the hood
-not a fan of the neck design
-lacking in colour breakup, definitely could have used more orange

But he looks like a lot of fun and that's what really matters to me in a toy, so I'm gonna pick him up.

 

That would render the toy unable to transform without removing any leg bulk, since they rotate 180 degrees so the wheels are on the outside as well as needing to be thin in the first place as that's where the arms get stored (particularly the giant claw).

 

The face and head scarf piece are evocative of Scourge, but I wonder why the elaborate rejigger of this well-known character into a junky truck? Is it in an attempt to tie Scourge to the rumored coming of Unicron? Obviously Scourge is very tightly knit to Unicron lore so this would make sense.

 

The name is more referencing RiD Scourge, another truck Decepticon, not the G1 soapbar

And besides, it's not like movieverse hasn't done random name slaps before.

 

while not horrible looking, this is by far the most underwhelming leader class of the last 5 years, just the amount of plastic, paint, complexity accesories, everything is just, this is not 55 usd worth 
and we have had some stinkers labeled leader class before

 

Ah here he is. Definitely looks good, he has a very menacing design and the claw weapon looks freaky. Truck mode has a similarly mean appearance.

Could use a bit more orange flamey accents or some gunmetal metallic paint though. Neck doesn't look the best either, it's too long/the head is too small.

 

Not quite the same, but I love my tr soundwave. Huge, ratcheted, and had a decent alt mode personally. I don't really use base mode, but I still think it was great for the time.

 

He's a combination of different Scourge's. From test screening, we know:

he's a servant of Unicron.

 

The press release says February 17, which would line up with what we’ve seen from Australian listings. I believe the UK is either the same or March, and the US is listed for a April release. So simply put, anytime between now and April.

 

While this certainly isn’t a design for me and definitely not something I plan on buying, there are elements of it that I like. I like the various chains wrapping around parts of his body. Although it’s actually part of the grill, the red translucent plastic behind it gives the design something evocative of an Optimus Prime chest window much like the original black repaint Laser Optimus Prime that was original RiD Scourge. I also like the various faction symbols attached as ornaments like trophies with several that I recognize and a few I don’t. The truck mode looks great, like a heavily “Mad Max”ed RiD Scourge. The head is interesting. Obviously it looks like the Terrorcon faction symbol, which I can’t help but notice looks vaguely like the Maximal symbol. I wonder if there is a connection between the two groups.
