Wow, the top of his torso just looks REALLY whack with how weird his shoulders seem to be designed, and he STILL has the gigantic box gap in the alt. mode nose hood.

Also, the degree to which he cheats the transformation is so obvious it's hysterical. The circular details on his thighs are clearly supposed to be halves of the trailer hitch but they don't end up there, they end up between the rear wheels and the cab. Additionally, are those supposed to be faux tires inside his thighs?

Meaning his actual transformation...is basically the wheelbase of the truck standing up like G1 Optimus Prime, with the cab basically being pulled apart to form the chest and arms? like DOTM Megatron?

And DOTM Megatron as a Voyager managed to do this WITHOUT gaps, WITH an articulated trailer gimmick, and at HALF the size? The sheer regression this toy represents is quite frankly amazing in terms of how little effort was actually put into it.

 

He is not the one for me, the head is better, but I think doing more of the scourge prime lookalike would have been better.

 

So, who will be first to fork out $200 to get one early?

ngl the more I look at it, the more I hate the legs and neck/head. So glad they changed his head design for the movie because that neck and oversized Tarn mask is goofy as all hell. Other than that, still a decent figure I suppose.

Some people just genuinely dislike the design and so they proceed to shout from their lungs "THIS LOOKS SHIT" every time new photos release.

Yeah, here's hoping they don't waste Dinklage.

 

He looks cool enough, but not for nearly 60 dollars. I’m not even gonna lie SS DotM Megatron did it better four years ago at like six dollars cheaper.

 

He has two special arms. There is no other like them!

He looks neat. Really digging the head design because it reminds me of Durge from the 2003 Star Wars Clone War micro series. Less enthusiastic about his weird yaoi hand on his left arm, but thankfully his Megaman hand is growing on me.

That being said it’s not like he’s something I’m in a rush to get. Eight months down the line sure but not now.

His truck mode is pretty nifty though.

 

I'm really looking forward to the upcoming Rise of The Beasts film and I'm also looking forward to the figures! I wonder if this Scourge will be a clone or an evil alternate universe version of Optimus Prime similar to RID2000/2001 Scourge or the Netflix WFC series

 

I for one am very glad that we're getting an MF Doom collaboration for this movie.

 

Yeah that just looks goofy.

 

I had no intention to but if this is a representation of the direction of the brand at large, it's something to keep in mind with rising prices for the brand and the actual product not meeting the same level of engineering as those before it.

This is the Studio Series of the MAIN BAD GUY of the next film, and...this is all they're giving us? A Leader with clear orange parts and it doesn't even light up? Hollow parts galore? Where exactly is the $60 justified here?

 

You jest but I unironically always found MF Doom cool looking with that mask, so seeing Scourge with that kind of style (the updated design in the trailer at least) genuinely looks cool to me. I think it's unique and is better than a regular head. Despite having a generic body, at least he's the only Transformer in live action that we'll have seen with an insignia for a face.

 

The legs are too skinny, the arms don't sit high enough, and the neck is way too long. I really wish hasbro would've waited for the movie to come out before making the Studio Series figures.
