I'm watching videos of Peter Dinklage and thinking what kind of voice would he do for a menacing dark robot like Scourge?

It's amusing to observe how often people around here respond to arguments no one's made.

It’s kinda funny considering Scourge has been nameslapped many times (RID, BW’s, Cybertron) and his most popular one I’d say is one that is a nameslap: RID01.

Hell I’d argue minus design Prime Wheeljack is kinda a nameslap or far removed from Wheeljack.

I don’t love nameslaps a lot of the time but there are some that have been done well and right.

Also while different he still has Cheetor elements to him.
Is Cheetors design as “ugly” or “unrecognizable” as movie designs we have had in the past? Cause he is far from the worst or ugliest we have had, and isn’t Cheetors ugliest design either.

Someone actually made a figure of that fan made Scourge design. God damn it's so much cooler.

Big BW fan here. Havn\'t been looking forward to this movie much despite that fact, but Scourge is a damn cool design! Most exciting thing about this movie so far.

This is one of the most self-contradictory posts I’ve seen on TFW in a while lol

    I don’t see it.

Scourge is like the only Terrorcon who isn't a nameslap at this point. He's clearly drawing inspiration from RID Scourge.

Hell, I miss the old theories that he would draw from G1, RID, and Cybertron, with a RID-inspired alt mode, G1 face with the beard, and Cybertron-like dragon elements like the horned shoulders. I think that would've been way more rad than what we got.

I feel like some of those elements are somewhat here but yeah would have preferred if it leaned more into that maybe or at least had more alt mode kibble in robot mode. But yeah he's not 100% a nameslap. I would say though I think Nightbird is the one that's design wise the least nameslap-ish.

There’s no doubt, it is the Studio series one. There’s no mainline scourge listing, so the only one in production is Studio series.

Erm, I was on the fence of getting Scourge at least as i was looking forward that truck.
But man, he doesn't even scream Leader to me, am i missing something? the transformation is very simple, and it does not look like they used assets from the actual model, plus the mass is lacking.
Even Shockwave had something to make up for it.

Scourge looks like a great villain for the original trilogy Optimus design.

They did just assets from the film just things can change from when the figures were developed to what we see in the trailer or even the final film like we can see with the SS ROTB stuff minus Bee.

I don't really see it either. But I will be curious to hear from Samlock what made him SS.

To be fair, Nightbird also draws from her G1 design. It's more obvious in the concept art than the toy.

Man, the fan artwork for this movie always look better than the actual designs.

We need to get a 3p to make that scourge design as a mass produced figure. So much better looking as a design.

Yeah of the Terrorcons she's the most faithful, then Scourge, then Battletrap.
Agreed, that fan design is IMO much better. The truck kibble in robot mode for me is probably the big thing that makes it so much better.

Yahooo!!! Money saved. I wasn’t a fan of Beast Wars or Bayformers. Call me a Geewan stick in the mud.
