Really appreciating the pictures with better lighting, and seeing the previously hidden details. Opinion slightly improved.

Seems to be getting a lot of hate, but I actually think he looks cool. And I was a bit mixed on his design in the trailer. I do feel like he could have been a Voyager though.

 

Have they released the identity of SS-94 yet?

The link you posted has Thundercracker listed as 89. You may be looking at the Japanese release side. Which is very different than the others.

That is for the Takara Tomy Japan release.

Takara Tomy and Hasbro have different releases.

 

All we can assume is 94 is Hatchet.

 

I'm seeing that Studio Series now is out of proportion. Because Bumblebee and Airazor are the same wave, they should be 2 numbers together. But Bumblebee is 100 and Airazor is 97. And we still haven't heard a thing about Hatchet or Hound.

Cheetor is probably 98 being Battletrap's wave mate.

 

It's possible, they could have deliberately made 100 be Bumblebee. I'm sure things get moved around if something takes longer in production

 

Takara made 100 the Fallen, it feels more intended for that character.

Exposed hands in alt mode and the gap in the nose of the truck too. This looks like a banger voyager, but for the $60 after tax that the modern leader is, I’m struggling to justify it. However, if I see it for $40, I’ll definitely pick it up.

One nugget of praise I do have to give it is that the clear red plastic light pipes in a really nice way and seriously ups my enjoyment factor of the bot mode. Still hoping maybe PvP has the alt mode transformation wrong and it can compress further though.

 

MP line has taught us that Takara doesn't put absolutely any thought into its numbering system.

 

This figure is......the biggest piece of dogsh** that i have ever seen. The neck is too long and the fact that it looks like parts are missing is infuriating. Yes, i know that the figure is designed off the film art but still.Gotta love the orange/fire though. And the fact that hes a leader class is awesome!

 

Honestly, this design has grown on me as a villain, but I still can't get past the fact that they named him "Scourge". Why can't we have original names for new characters? Name slapping is the worst.
