I can’t 100% see if he was but does Scourge appear licensed?

I thought so cause no logo’s are on it and with being a madmax like truck helps not having to license it.

Besides Bee's unpainted face (and that seems to be movie-accurate), the figures we've seen so far don't really look bad compared to other SS figs.

Agreed objectively I think minus Bee’s face I think for the most part they are all okay to good. Better than Car Shatter and Helicopter Dropkick.

But on the topic of Bee’s face I’d still say it’s less movie accuracy and more budget because yes his cheeks are now yellow but he still has silver around his optics.

Yup, you're right about that !
It's a very tiny spot so I understand why they decided to skip it, I'm sure we can easily fix that with a small custom.

The new prime looks like an uncanny lovechild of 2007 and the bumblebee movie designs, taking the worst from both lol

True and maybe when we get a normal Camaro version they’ll be able to paint that if they don’t use the battlemask face.

Torn on this one. I like this design better than the movie’s fusion of Tarn and Movie Lockdown without what made each of those designs distinct, but I still have a few issues. Assuming that the gaps at the nose of the truck can be fixed, it’s still missing the gascans under the smokestacks, exposed hands in alt mode, the backpack is a bit too large and the lower legs in bot mode are way too skinny. They should’ve just moved some of the backpack bulk over to the legs. And while this is a personal thing, I wish more of the clear orange they used showed through in bot mode, it would’ve nicely given the illusion of him being on fire like the original descriptions did.

All that being said, I wouldn’t have minded this guy if he was a voyager. But as a leader, I hesitate. His transformation isn’t that complex, and stuff like exposed hands in alt mode, the truck nose gap (if it isn’t just mistransformed) and the skinny legs are off putting to me.

Yeah if the story is decent enough to hold the action and CGI that would be cool. Either way I just hope its entertaining enough.

    Yeah, it's just............... man.
    I thought Bay was dead

I think this is fair. The Bay movies are pure spectacle, where the story is just a way to justify getting to the next explosion. It's action-packed, and audiences love that, but the quality is questionable.

Meanwhile Bumblebee had a fairly coherent plot, likeable characters, and this kind of heart and soul that Bay could only dream of. But it was a more think-y film, and the people that go to Transformers movies don't always appreciate that.

But it was a better movie, even if the box office doesn't agree, and I'm sad it seems to be a one-off, especially for a Beast Wars movie, which was EXTREMELY think-y for a kid's show.

The aesthetic of the bay movies aren’t terrible, even though I enjoyed Bumblebee more. That said, the issue with those films was the story from after DOTM. AOE and TLK were terrible. TLK could’ve been better but was bad. (Which is a shame, the WW2 portion was good looking)

Me and my brother have a crazy theory: what if all the major villains are time traveled versions of the autobots. People have already said that Scourge looks a bit like Optimus, what about Arcee is Nightbird, Bumblebee is Battletrap (the new studio series box art even has a decepticon badge on his helmet where his autobot one would normally be). For some characters like Wheeljack, well he died in dotm, and Mirage? Pretty sure He died in age of extinction in some sorta flashback bit. But that’s just a theory, a transformers theory!

Probably the same price as other Leaders, which are around $52-$55 depending on where you buy them.

It\'s not neccesarily a problem for me, but why are his neck and right hand quite so big?

I can forgive the right hand, it's meant for him to cause more damage to the victim and kill them quickly.

The neck... yeah I have no idea why it's so big. My guess is the neck is supposed to mimick chainmail armour (the real thing, not the Minecraft thing). Scourge appears to be based off older concept art as the final CGI model doesn't have such a big neck.

On an unrelated note I have a theory that Scourge's concept design is based off medieval warriors. Maybe, Scourge and the Terrorcons are based off different types of warriors; Scourge as a knight, Battletrap as a Spanish warrior and Nightbird as a Samurai warrior.
