If I tried to buy SS Scourge I would need to pay 90 dollars  

 

Jesus and I thought we had it bad here with 78 euros.

Pretty sure they are skinny in the movie.

Funny, I'm a movie hater, but I see a lot to appreciate here. Especially that wicked alt mode. It's worthy of the scourge name for sure.

 

I agree these designs WAY better than Bay scrap metal. They're still movie style but actually have normal arms, legs, proportions we can consider cool instead of ones that look like they're from the wrong franchise of some sort of metal alien bugs.

Honestly? I just would like to see him with a more prominent color palette. On the surface it's a cool enough design I suppose, but man.. I think some color would really make it pop.

I'd love to see that Kai artist do up a Scourge that incorporates more elements of Black Convoy.

 

Most of Bay designs have normal arms and legs except some of the Constructicons, Frenzy and Devcon. Just throwing it out there.

 

I have such an odd reaction to this guy. I'm simultaneously wowed and disappointed at the same time. I guess I like what they did, but was still hoping fro something else.

I'll definitely be picking him up and I probably won't be disappointed if they give him the mpm treatment.

 

Tried to "fix" the figure a bit.
-removed his neck
-gave him orange eyes with a very slight "glow" around them
-changed the color of the head to be the same as the body
-and shrunk his claw hand

 

At first, I didn't like him, but after checking out a few pictures I think he looks cool! Yeah, I really need this dude on my shelf ASAP. It's just the neck that I don't like, but other than that it is a badass looking figure.

The truck mode isn't really good but it's not terrible or bad. I like that they even incorporated the faction insignia trophies on his grille, as well as the weapon splitting in half to replicate those metal snowplows on the back of the truck.

 

Is it possible that the head can slide down ever so slightly?

 

Looks like the head is double hinged. So maybe you can push the head down a little but it'll awkwardly appear in front of the chainmail armour.

Idk how the armour is connected but you could probably slice and shave some of it so you can bend his neck lower, maybe?

 

I'm pretty easy to please when it comes to TF figures, but after seeing this, I'm gonna wait until Scourge goes on clearance as I don't see anything that says Leader class (I'm guessing it's due to parts count, but I'm still not seeing it). The soft rubbery plastic isn't doing this figure any favors for me as well.

 

Ah guess the insignias are on there. Just really hard to see at first glance and without zooming in for dear life lol. Thanks to all those that pointed it out to me

 

Hasbro has never blamed cost of plastic. That's just fans reading into their words in the worst way possible.

"Rising material and labor costs" counts for a whole lot of things besides just the plastic.

The need to increase quarterly profits. It's rarely labor costs.
