Is there a comparison pic I’m missing? He doesn’t look any different than DOTM Megatron, who was also sold as a leader. Then again, I haven’t seen him compared to other figures.

Sigh. This looks like a very good interpretation of a very dumb design. It's like the Hot Topic of Transformers villains. "All black! More smokestacks! Double-sword! Chaaaaaaainz!" And what is the Bayverse's fascination with weird hands?

My favorite scene of Scourge was when he said "It's Scourgin' Time!" and Scourged all over Bumblebee

If they’re not gonna make “Scourge” an evil Optimus, why not just make Movie-verse Motormaster???
This toy and character look…. Fine.

but the more I see these Terrorcons from this movie, the more I wish they would’ve just given us a Stunticon team as the movie antagonists.

Would’ve given a nice cohesiveness (literally and figuratively) to the villains, there’s established characterizations to work with, a built in rivalry in Motormaster and Prime (even if Optimus doesn’t really acknowledge it.)

And heck, the original IDW designs were already pretty Movie-Bay-esque, so they coulda started there for character models.

Not to mention make a HUUUGE deal out of taking down Menasor at the end!!!!
(They failed HARD with Devastator in ROTF, he was barely made a big deal of.)

I loved the BB movie, Travis Knight knew what he was doing.
But as someone else said already in this thread, the more I see of RotB, the less faith I find myself having in it.

A leader class price point would sour any chance of me purchasing this figure.

Absolutely. Cut the beasts and the Terrorcon/Unicron bullcrap with another relic, a movie that just pitted the Autobots against the Stunticons would have been great. Have the final battle take place in a demolition derby arena, even.

They should have made him purple, I don't care how goody a purple Mad Max truck would look anything is better than another rusty brown character

Definitely has an executioner vibe going on. But he looks more like a Nazgûl to me. Not worth $55 if that’s the price.

Still wondering if this turns out to be a Unicron twisted Optimus from the future.

The more I look at it, I get a few different vibes for where their inspiration comes from in his design. Tarn with the logo face, the overall head/neck design from the Nazgul, the tall lanky body from a Xenomorph. As for his hands, well there are plenty of antagonists in pop culture to draw inspiration from for the clawed left hand and an arm with ready release blades.

I had a strong negative reaction but it’s growing on me. It’ll be interesting to see it in live-action because that might make the figure even more interesting.

My first reaction to this was a solid “eh” but now I think it just looks like a solid figure. This year is eviscerating my bank account

Not bad, coherent in a lockdown kinda way, and nice and tall, very menacing.

Apologies if these have been posted already, but here are some more images that look really nice, especially the truck form pic cause it's a finished transformation. Also, apparently this figure is based on concept art for Scourge, which explains the long neck and exaggerated head design compared to how it looked in the trailer.

@Maraj101 said so on twitter and he has sources. Also, it's kind of obvious if you look at it lol. That's clearly not anywhere close to how his head/neck area looks in the actual film.

EDIT: He actually said he thinks it's concept art. Still though, I think it's based on concept art as well and maybe they just edited his head/neck a while after the toy design was made.

I totally agree but that’s the nature of the beast
