Definitely. Even with him being my favourite charater in the brand, he can be as good looking and filled out as he wants but as long as he isn't grabbing my attention or does anything interesting beyond that I'd rather have Scourge.

 

Wonder why his neck is so thick, the movie model’s head looks nowhere near as tiny as this guy’s.

 

It's really becoming more and more certain that even these SS toys are based on outdated versions of the designs.

 

Honestly looking at that, and knowing studio series literally use the CAD models, I wouldn't be surprised if this was mainline.

I know someone said further up that scourge doesn't have a mainline....but these 2 images together it's making me question it more

 

I don't think it's his neck, but a cowl.

It flares wider on the toy because you need clearance for the actual neck underneath.

Yeah There's no mainline leak or listing. He is one of the few characters not getting one. It’s not too surprising as Battletrap isn’t getting one either.

Looks to be one piece rather than a cowl on top of a neck, so there no reason for it to be pointlessly wide and tall compared to the movie since it just needs to connect to a balljoint at the bottom.

 

that comparison does make me wonder if the chest is mistransformed as it looks like it should compress a little more

Kinda like the Shredder ish helment (hace those side chainmail/ panel thing about the neck) but at the same time I dislike that he got a long neck!

I’m sorry but… that design is TERRIBLE 

it’s like half sentinel prime half dotm megatron, but severely malnutritioned, and with a head idea that’s cool in concept but has looked dumb in every execution that isn’t Tarn

Hasbro seems to have done a good job trying to salvage it and the truck mode looks neat but I hate that design so much

Also this should have been a voyager  

edit: wait sike no the toy just sucks ass i forgot how much this doesn’t look like him in the trailer whats with the fat neck and super inaccurate chest
