I\'ve really loved every single design reveal we\'ve gotten in the SS toys for this movie so far...

but this figure? It just...really gives me that Age of Extinction leader class vibes. And I hated that toyline more than any toyline in TF history. Especially the leaders. Idk, I\'m sure it\'ll be a good figure. But it just looks so cheap and underdesigned.

 

You just gave me an EXCELLENT idea for repurposing this figure! (And a reason to get it in the first place since I already have Legacy Velocitron Scourge)

 

Truck hasn’t changed at all, It stayed the same the entire time during filming since it was shown off over a year ago. no real reason it should be inaccurate besides them most likely not getting a license.

Both small voyagers. Not looking very promising size wise.

Jokes aside, pretty good - love those colors, and combined with that window tint, gives a very menacing look. Will definitely grab him!

 

I was talking about the grill. I said that just incase there is something I missed out on. Of all things to comment on lol

 

Are his legs that skinny bcs of the way the feet fold? If they make the legs bulkier the feet probably couldn't fold in like that.

 

I'm still not sold on the actual design but the toy itself, including the sculptwork, look amazing. Love how they've added the insignias on his grill.

EDIT: That neck gives me Clone Wars '03 Dirge vibes.

 

I\'m now really looking forq to this figure, the face/head reminds me a bit of tarn. 

 

Tbh even compared to studio series itself this guy looks more like a voyager than leader. he’s no taller than the SS megatrons.

 

Could definitely start a grunge band with DOTM Megaton.

 

Follow up: Galvatron comes in, at his straightest, 7 inches tall. Scourge looks to be about a head taller, so the figure is likely 8 inches at least, and 8.5 inches at most. For my non-American friends, that’s about 20.5-21.5 cm.

He either comes in at or just short of SS Blackout/Grindor.

 

Man... I just hope this film doesn't suck... I don't want to see another macguffin as bad as "grandpa explorers etched glasses" again either...

The legs on this look pretty weak. The design "flow" from vehicle to robot is kind of offputting imho. I think it would've benefitted from more heavy armor all the way around, something like plates on his shins etc.

I'd say I'm not a fan of what I am seeing so far, but I don't really dislike it as much as I just don't see something I want to spend $55-60 on. If he goes on sale, or there is something we are missing, I might get him.

That actually satishfies my complaints tbh. If SS Blackout/Grindor are also allowed to be "short leaders yet complex" then I don't see why people have a problem with this guy seemingly doing exactly that.

 

Start with the bad: Legs looking a bit thin. Not particularly a fan of the claw hand. Panel backpack always makes me go "eh." Not sure I see the Leader class worth so far.

The good: I'm loving the headsculpt. I'm interpreting the "wiring" as sort of armor or pseudo-cloth around his neck a la Durge from Star Wars. I was not sold on the mask when we saw it in the trailer, but the MF DOOM comparisons have really sold me on it. The blade weapon is cool too, I always like when a weapon already attached to the body can be held at the same time. Arm cannon over his claw hand is a great look as well. Vehicle mode is fairly sick.

I'm liking Scourge well enough, but I don't $50+ like him. Will probably have to wait for at least a slight discount.

 

I like the design and the truck mode, it looks cool
