New point of failure on him:



Fender/wheel fracture at the hinge. Still holding but much looser. Only the one crack. So, that's now two fractures on this guy.

*sigh*

 

I just checked my copy and it had a serious stress mark there, as well as stress marks along the "struts" connecting the fender. I ended up disassembling the whole area (it's only two screws behind the shoulders and the chest slides right out), used boiling water to get the stress marks out, then lubed up both hinges with silicone grease.

Hilariously, the part wasn't cracked before disassembly, but it partially cracked from the stress of reassembly – it's an insanely tight joint. However, both sides are now loose enough that I'm not worried about further damage.

 

I have something that seems a stress mark in the truck side, but reading the thread i think i'll keep this figure (i love it)

Oh hell yeah the head and leg set is a must buy. Don’t care for partsforming so I’ll skip the full set.

 

Does a lot to improve the figure but this really isn't the type of figure I would want to spend close to $100 on in total, much less the $55 for the figure itself.

 

That's way overpriced... I could get a whole voyager for that much

 

I’m really skeptical thanks to how expensive the figure + upgrades will be altogether, but oh my god wow

 

We all knew this uprgade kit wouldn't be cheap. Even the smaller gap filler kits cost over $10. Never a second guess as to this one being cheap.

 

Looks good, but ultimately I'm just gonna wait for DNA to work their magic

 

I think this is one of two figures I've ever returned simply because it was such a crap figure. Back in the day, you'd just eat it and either keep it or sell it off at some point. But with these last few years of not really feeling like you get your money's worth, I just wasn't going do it. That thing was so disappointing in hand.

 

Ok, now he looks good. Still wish someone would do something about those saladfingers though. They may be accurate, but they just look awful imo.

 

He looks a lot better. I’ll wait and see what DNA does with him.

 

Only two of those are valid.

 

The head and gas tanks are OK. The rest looks pretty bad to me

 

I’m happy to say that my copy has no issues thus far, and I’ve transformed it a few dozen times so far. Hope it stays that way.

 

That’s when you wait for a sale then get it, and get the upgrade kit as well. It what I’ll do.

Here’s hoping they even do one.

 

Really ? I'm scared to transform mine lol, would you recommend filing certain areas so that the backpack rotation is looser and less solid to avoid cracking ?
