Hello general bumblebee! He\'s an interesting cryptid. 

 

Love the way the terrorcon looks. Really is reminiscent to the insect like feature that was in previous movies. Definitely will pick it up.

 

Frenzy's cousin freezer

 

Feel like every time there’s something like this it should be specified which currency it is. But then again with the cad prices specified on the front some people thought it was us so idk.

I really love Freezer. As long as it doesn’t have a horrible alt mode I’ll probably get it. I’m very picky lol.

 

The real question is can arcee fit inside a jar?

 

WOW that’s not a good Arcee… maybe it’ll look better in better images or something, but I’m not holding my breath. And I’m not basing that opinion on the fact she’s core class, there are some really great looking core class figures.

The Terrorcon or whatever he/she/it is actually looks pretty good. Can’t imagine some people modding him into a custom Frenzy…

The Arcee kinda reminds me of the old Energon Arcee.
Robot mode seems a little meh, and I'm curious to see the alt mode transformed correctly.

So out of the way first, Arcee. I'm with most here, kinda lacking for a Core Class figure. It's like the PRID Arcee/T30 Chromia mold but downsized, and while I feel the mold itself is fine, it feels like it suffers way too much when you downscale it. I mean, she's suffering from having the front of the vehicle mode strapped behind her. Weird, because SS Core Shockwave, even though it's meant as just "Oh hey look a Shockwave in Core Class, buy us please", feels like it's got more love and care put into it, and it's literally Wave 1.

I feel she's likely a Core due to both the trailer scene, and the fact that they're stretching for Deluxe slots as it is? We got Hatchet and Hound shunted to Buzzworthy, and ROTB Prime seems to be the same, so that's probably why. Even then, I'm willing to bet they could easily retool the Bumblebee Arcee, it's the exact same design in robot mode, and I'm sure the designers could figure out some way to make her look like a real-life vehicle rather than an alien one.

I will give her this though, the color scheme and vehicle mode (rear aside) look pretty cool. But as it stands, this feels like this is the best we're gonna get. Like Bumblebee Shockwave, we're definitely getting a bigger version: it's fairly likely the reasons why they didn't release it is due to limited slots and the amount of Bumblebee figures we got in 2022 as is. But with Arcee, I don't think we're getting a bigger version at a Deluxe scale... unless we are in the ROTB line. Are we? I've forgotten like 90% of the listings, due to all the codenames. Either way, I wouldn't be shocked if this ends up pegwarming. Feels like Arcee's becoming the new shelf/pegwarmer after Mudflap (SS86 Arcee notwithstanding).

I'm still trying to process Freezer though. I'm not against him though: I'm always up for crazy designs if done right, and movie designs tend to fit that bill pretty nicely. I guess what I'm trying to figure out is... this is literally just Frenzy. Frenzy but with a Fossilizer color scheme. Stranger still, no alt-mode pics, we just know he turns into a weapon of some sort. Which leads me to believe this is very likely gonna be a Frenzy pretool of some sort. The general design is there, most you'd need to do is change the head (due to the eyes being in the wrong spots and the frankly frightening jaw). Frenzy also didn't have a designated alt-mode, with the only attempt to make him transform being...



Yeah. Not a bad figure, but you can tell Frenzy's design doesn't lend itself well to toy form. I think that having a weapon mode would solve that issue, since he's essentially just balling himself up into a different shape without having to deal with kibble. Plus some integration with Barricade, even if it's kind of an afterthought after 5 years. Speculation aside, I think the figure looks nice and a fun little fiddle figure to mess with. Also, love the fact that we still have all these gaps relating to figures in both Studio Series and Generations, and a random no-name mook from a movie that isn't even out gets a figure like it's nothing. Oddly proud of him in a way.

 

According to product descriptions he turns into a weapon. But yeah, a parasite can indeed be used as a weapon!
Maybe the Terrorcons unleash Freezer onto Airazor, Freezer latches inside Airazor's body allowing him to control her from the inside. That explains the scene where Airazor is seen attacking Prime on the bridge- maybe she's being controlled by Freezer from the inside, then maybe Rhinox will remove Freezer from her body through a surgery.

 

That Terrorcon looks nice, I suppose he's just a random ?

I actually quite like Arcee, she looks decently articulated for a movie core class, I guess if some want to skip it there's always those combiner 2PK or weaponizer 2PK which will be a little taller than this core version.

 

Late reply, but I managed to get a core Frenzy at JB Hi-FI for 10 dollars by price matching it to a discounted assorted core listing on Big W, so it can be bought for cheaper, I think

 

I don't think that frenzy transforms into anything interesting. Probably just some sort of attachment for a bigger figure like scourge. Looks like a fun minion though. Interested to see how this turns out

Arcee is amazing!! I get that the average doofus is again utterly disappointed by crappy mistransformed stock photography and missing paint on a budgeted product, but looking behind the obvious , is a very good looking motorcycle and a neat robot mode. The only part that looks weird are the lower legs, but I'm sure they'll look a lot nicer when posed a bit better. The buttpack is hopefully mistransformed.

I'm so glad we finally got a good looking Arcee motorcycle in the correct size class. Legends scale would be ideal for the bike, but the robot would suffer too much. Core class is the perfect blend. Deluxe is always way too big for a motorcycle. Not looking forward to seeing how Prowl scales...

Do you guys think that other knee joint is a ball joint? I sure hope so

 

What’s funny is that Freezer kills any chance of frenzy for another year or more because Hasbro likely doesn’t want Freezer (who sounds and looks like frenzy) to be followed by SS86 frenzy, followed by 2007 frenzy. Similar names seem to bother them so it’s a long wait for core frenzy.
