How many of these Mainline figures are going to come out and what's the price difference between them and Studio Series?

 

Probably about the same price and like 8: 3 Voyagers, 6 Deluxes

 

I'd find it really likely each main cast member will get a figure in this core assortment.

Spread between wave 1 and 2 but like I said it's really likely a wave 3 would have.

Has anyone seen video reviews of these? Someone in that country must have bought some and reviewed them by now if these images ended up in TF groups etc

 

It is worth noting that Earthrise Deluxe figures are $5 less than Studio Series/Generations. But in all likelihood, yeah, they’ll be the same price as their comparable Studio Series counterparts in the same price point. Again, Hasbro originally did NOT plan to have both the Core Deluxe and Voyager figures AND Studio Series figures available at the same time.

I think Voyager Scourge is a given, but I think Battletrap COULD be bumped down to Deluxe (and would make an even wave assortment for wave 3). While reasonable, there is definitely an outside chance that the final waves for the Core Series may feature characters we haven’t seen yet. Early leaks pointed to the appearance of Predacons, and thus far we’ve seen NOTHING of them. So it’s possible they’re the “secret film reveal” that we won’t know about until AFTER the film has been out a while.

Our first images of Smash Changer Optimus Primal was via a store owner’s child posting images. Some of these leaks may be coming from retailer employees sneaking a peak and NOT actually being bought by consumers.

Same. Some of my favorite figures are offscreen characters. We need those back.

 

So many repaints they can do both off of this line and with some SS stuff like BBM repaints (Soundblaster, Blaster, Perceptor maybe, Outback, Wasp, Gears), a DOTM Blaster, Stealth colors, G1 deco.

 

I don't think a Scourge is given since it would render the Studio Series version to almost useless.
But I hope it happens.

 

You could say the same about all the SS stuff. It's possible there is one since the mainline stuff was supposed to come out before the SS stuff but who knows. Hopefully we do get them.

 

I’m still 99.9% sure there’s no second wave coming. The toys were meant to release with the movie to have something in the shelf and that’s it. We’ve heard 0 leaks of a wave 2 and gotten 0 leaks. Considering the year long delay, we would have known if there was a wave 2.

I mean we already know a ton of 2024 releases for other lines already.

 

Getting a Combiner Wars vibe from Prime.

 

I think we might get a wave 2 only with it being some of the Deluxe stuff we saw leaked already along with Mirage. But a wave 3 or wave 2 with Scourge, Arcee, and Battletrap at this point unfortunately I don't see happening since we have zero leaks for them.

 

I mean, go back one year more and be had a mouth in Energon for like 10 seconds.

 

Wasn't rhinox part of wave 2? I've heard that mentioned, and that primal and optimus were supposed to be wave 1 voyagers. Feel free to correct me though.

I do think a mainline scourge would be cool. If it followed what the bw mainline are like, we could've gotten a mold that blends the rotb look and the rid 2001 look.

 

He is and it seems wave 2 of Prime and Rhinox might hit first before wave 1 with Primal.

Agreed that would be perfect. Or just interesting to see what random alt mode they would use. But a RID robot mode styled ROTB Scourge would be amazing.

 

Might rip off the tarn look a little, but instead of a gaping maw they could've had a optimus style faceplate under the mask, and shortened that neck.

And if it were like the bw mainline, with the figure reminiscent of the older counterparts, we could get a rid 2001 scourge covered in chains and just a little more movielike, with his chest still having the same badges, as well as the same giant claw and sword

 

I hope Rhinox's legs are less of a chore to transform than the KIngdom ones' are.

 

I forgot that all the stuff we knew about was 2 waves by default, oops. So I meant a wave 3 in this case. Waves 1 and 2 would have covered the shelves up until the start of 2023 when the SS releases would start, so They had no reason to continue the mainline figures.

 

Pretty much which is kinda unfortunate cause I would have loved to see what they would have done with them, mainly for Arcee.
