I'm digging how it looks can't wait to see more. I was gonna be fine with hybridising the inner robot with the outer shell but this is a good look as it is.

 

The inner robots have always been in the background for me when it came to the pretenders. Metalhawk is one of the few that I feel like make their inner robot stand out, so I guess im okay with it being based on the inner robot. I was hoping for the shell look, at least around the head and shoulders area like shullgrin. I just associate the shell with the character much more and I hope they make a figure of that one day that is actually articulated.

The figure itself however looks cheap and is kind of a let down ngl.

 

For me, I have no interest whatsoever in the Japanese incarnations of G1 characters. Also, IMO the colors look horrible.

 

They'll inevitably do war more tapes at the Core Class.

 

i thought Metalhawk would be a retool of Jhiaxus. Not a big deal at all, i like the cyclonus mold. Going to get metalhawk, not twincast though

The original toys for those figures were the exact same thing as in the US and they just gave them a different name in Japan. It’s the same exact thing and you know that. For the record if a toy can be a new mold I prefer it also but it’s not the only on screen character. Even the designers mention there masterforce roots

 

I’m ok with that as I care more about the robot mode. Plus I love Cyclonus’s jet mode.

 

The sinister smirking face would've made a ton more sense on the Shattered Glass deco.

 

Well im in on Metalhawk, if Twincast has a double chest might consider it.

He looks cool for what he is. I'll be honest, I'd rather see the Autobot Pretenders modeled after their shells. Love the big rounded space suits of the first three.

Damn. Metalhawk was a pleasent surprise to say the least. I was expecting him to be a Legacy Armada Starscream or even Jhiaxus reuse, I sure as hell was not expecting them to use Kingdom Cyclonus as a retool no less! This is great because Kingdom Cyclonus is an amazing mould and I'm happy they're exploiting even more (but you know what would make more sense right? A frikking Ferak repaint).

Twincast looks like Twincast, that's cool but funnily enough, I'm more interested in Rewind.

40$ for rewind? Seems a little steep.

Huh. I thought all Blaster\'s black parts were on the same sprue.
So while I\'m glad he was able to keep the black parts his original toy had, I did wanna see how silly all red woulda looked!

You do get a fairly large blue boombox as an accessory to be fair

 

So they want us to buy another Blaster just to get Rewind?
