Now that I think about it,how the hell would they make the shell?

 

Plastic armour pieces that easily fit onto the body through special grooves and holes.

 

I'd say either go super large to fit the robot in it traditionally, but imo that'd be a bit poor due to required pricing and being obnoxious to handle with a voyager inner bot, or make it smaller and have Metalhawk be like a backpack/chest filler so it's still basically a shell but doesn't have to be so big

Huh. I stand corrected. I have to admit I can't actually remember the Pretenders engage in combat while in their shells. Best I can recall is Lander being ambushed by Blood in... I want to say episode 3? When Professor Go gets killed.

But maybe the rifle wasn't included because Legacy Metalhawk is based on the inner robot, and as you mentioned he only had the rifle in his shell form.

 

Probably, but I like the Jet Rifle. I designed it with 5mm ports on the side so hopefully I can put the two pistols on the side of it.
