No, that one is shiny and a deeper gold. Legacy MH is colored like Pops cereal.
I am slightly disappointed Metalhawk just goes for the straight inner bot approach rather than the mix the last 3 pretenders gave us.
Just wait, I'm sure we'll get better versions of all the cassettes in Studio Series 86.
Ebay.com, then, buddy
Then wait for the SS86 one
It really is like Selects is on life support. They got Magnificus and that blue trailbreaker in the last wave cycle
Twincast looks very nice as a Blaster repaint and a Blaster that was reborn as Twincast in the headmaster series(After a quick tfwiki search to learn more about him)The gun could have been a different color because it looks funny to me. Rewind is also very nice. Can’t wait to have both versions of each cassette and bot. We need all of the mini-cassettes. I’m pretty sure we’ll get them all in the near future. I want a new Ramhorn and Steeljaw. And we need a earth mode Soundblaster repaint of Netflix Soundwave to go with Twincast.
Metalhawk is very interesting. I thought he would get a mold to himself but a Kingdom Cyclonus retool is quite a weird way to get this character to be accurate as it can be. He looks great. I don’t really know about the Japanese transformers series that came after the original series ended.
I hope someone makes Metalhawk his armor from the comics as an upgrade kit
To be fair:
pretty close to the color it was in the show.
Ngl Metalhawk looks neat and not some nonsensical schizobabble of both like how Skullgrin turned out, now someone just needs to make the shell
Hopefully the jet mode isn’t too shabby
Tbh in cases like this, it just ends up being an argument of what the show was trying to get across with its insanely low budget and inability to show metallics.
Un-space! the space in between realities... its how space bridge technology work... wow I'm a nerd.
kinda glossed over it earlier, but what on earth is up with the yellow face on Twincast?
It's what you get when the Japanese anime look is iconic as it is. Considering that all of the JG1 toys have been very anime accurate so far, it's no surprise.
As someone who loves Gundam and all Japanese mecha, this feels like the right choice for me. Japanese mecha designs are on a whole 'nother level and I wouldn't have it any other way.
His face was yellow in the show.
It's toon accurate based on his Japanese Headmasters appearance.
Edit: @barfortmax answered your question @artiepants
All this talk about mass shifting and Pretender scale...
I know Pretenders are human sized in robot mode.
Just like I know that Starscream creates the Monster Pretenders...
My Shattered Glass senses are tingling……(I spent an hour and a half on this)
I tried to pick out any detail that was clear enough
Who are the unpainted cassettes above the two dino pairs?
Separate names with a comma.
