This cassette player brings out the freak in too many posters here.

 

I am a bit worried that looks like the exact same slightly waxy plastic that goes green on Blaster that they have on Twincast and Metal Hawk.

They have already done Bludgeon, Action Master Banzaitron and Actionmaster Bombshell Metal Hawk is a main hero character "lead" in a cartoon and as such is a darn sight more worthwhile of a toy than Tracks ever was. & the obscure stuff in more pleasing that that dreadfull looking Starscream they made.

Besides have you seen how crazy obscure they got with their 3.75" Gi Joe (in a good way i.e. 'Raven').

Hopefully if Bludgeon Sells well - which he likely will eventually for the exact same reason which is his toy is just a Tarn remould & so the shell is desirable for being the more typical Skeleton Samurai version of the character rather than the way he's looked since Nu-RID.

 

These two look great.

Man I was kind of hoping I wouldn't have to buy Twincast to buy Rewind. The little tape goblin looks great, but I've always found Twincast's paint scheme a little tacky.

 

Twincast is about as expected, he is nice. But it kills me that Rewind is still clear plastic like Kingdom (r)Eject.
Metalhawk looks interesting, but not really much to see in that image.

 

And favorite cabal of Legacy lineup deciders

 

Twincast looks great, though part of me wishes we'd gotten one of the Ravage molds retooled into Steeljaw instead of Rewind.

And Metalhawk looks amazing. Never would have expected to see the Cyclonus mold get another use.

I am watching Masterforce now and in episode 20 Metalhawk sits down with Ginrai and tells him he wants Ginrai to take over leadership of the Autobots, which at the time on Earth is only the Pretenders, Jr. Headmasters, and new Powermaster recruits. I think he's as much a leader as someone like Thunderclash was.

It's always been interesting to me that later in the franchise, Sky Garry was Autobot Supreme Commander until Star Convoy was resurrected.

On topic, Metalhawk looks good in bot mode and I'm so happy he's not a Jhiaxus retool, but I am also somewhat disappointed he's not an original mold. With Skullgrin getting one, I was sure Metalhawk would finally get his due. The shell aspect didn't matter much to me, though I prefer the inner bot. I need to see him in jet mode, and I worry I'll hate Masterforce Cyclonus.  

I was, for a while, concerned about the precedent that might be set with Metalhawk, and what it could mean for the other four Autobot Pretenders in Masterforce, assuming they might have a chance at all (completing teams, ya know) but now that I know he's a Cyconus repaint and not an original mold, I don't expect there to *be* any other Masterforce Autobot Pretenders. Though, if anyone is listening, please prioritize Waverider, thank you.

Twincast is sort of a whomp-whomp. He looks great as far as his color blocking, and is one of only a few characters missing from my Headmasters roster, but he's only got capacity for one tape and I wish Hasbro had thrown us a bone and issued him with TWO cassettes, one of them being Steeljaw. I also wonder why Twincast is not a selects release. Just a curiosity, really, as it seems Selects is being dialed back more and more to the point it can be cancelled. I suppose Hasbro is taking less chances. We got 30 Selects characters in WFC, and only 6 in Legacy so far, with characters that could have been obvious Selects releases taking slots as Walmart exclusives and appearing in Target box-sets, being in general a pain in the ass for some collectors who just wanted a Goldbug. And where is Antagony?

 

IDK if anyone put these side by side yet, but I've got to say, it's an impressive remold! I hope the jet mode looks good!
