Exactly! Even that elbowless SS86 Rumble is disappointing. This is why Dr Wu is eating their lunch.

I'll still be getting both of these Voyagers ASAP though.... Twincast will be part of Cerebros's faction while Metalhawk with team up with Quickswitch for side quest.

 

Metalhawk looks great and pretty heavy on the new parts. Glad he's not IDW-based. Twincast not having the double door when Soundblaster did is just cheap. That's like the thing the redecoes of the tapedeck dudes were known for.

 

Someone is probably already working on an upgrade kit for Twincast's door.  

 

I may pick Metalhawk up for Leader-1, since he should scale well with DX9 Salmoore and L1 did have an alternate color scheme.

 

Just an FYI, I noticed that the inside of Metalhawks shoulders are red meaning that they are painted blue.

It's revealed even more when you turn the saturation of the image up.

 

Twincast looks clean as fuck, those colors are great

Metalhawk is a nice surprise and looks great. Always loved his robot mode and one of the better Autobot pretenders. And yea it make sense to focus on the Autobot inner robot modes since they were just generic humans as shells. The Decepticons had more distinct and interesting pretender shells. Hope they keep this theme going between the remaining pretenders.

Twincast: ehhhh I just want rewind. I might get him and keep him in the box and just take out Rewind.

I don’t know I think Rumble was pretty much what I wanted in a CHUG Cassette. Is he missing elbows? Sure but he comes with actual piledrivers. He’s in the scale I want unlike the WFC Micromaster. He doesn’t have unnecessary kibble like Titans Return. If they retooled him into Eject, Rewind, & Frenzy and then do Ravage, Ramhorn, & Steeljaw the same way I’d be happy as a Soundwave/Blaster and Cassettes fan… until I demand all the e-hobby repaints and Overkill & Slugfest.

Metalhawk looks great, and I very much enjoyed the Cyclonus mold so I have high hopes for him. He's a bit large (should be a deluxe to be "in-scale") but I like the design enough to still be all in on this guy. I'll probably put the Titans Return figure with my other Masterforce figures due to size and shell compatibility, but there's no way I'm passing on this.
