I dig Metalhawk, him only being in a suppppper expensive box set before this, it's definitely appealing that he's actually got a retail release now.

I like Blaster well enough, but I'm really trying to cut down on Voyager and Leader repaints, unless they bring something unique to the table. At least Metalhawk is a remold

barely been a thing at all for Legacy (and a bit of Kingdom aswell)

Metalhawk has a bit more in his design compared to the other inner Pretenders and the Decepticons incorporating their shell design into their robot modes is fine since their shells match being bad guys.

 

He'll still be Headmasters Blaster for me, regardless. Just as Soundblaster is Headmasters Soundwave.

 

I do not, no, unless I'm looking up something specific that I'm unfamiliar with. I felt familiar with Metal Hawk from the comics, so never even though to look him up.

 

Probably not since it's not like there's any fiction associated with the Legacy toys.

Though that's what I've usually done so nothing stopping a good headcanon.

Now Metalhawk is a must, I\'ve been loving these new pretenders and Metalhawk was one of my most anticipated figures from evolution, and now that he\'s here I can\'t wait. I know some people are upset that the pretenders don\'t have the shells anymore but I\'m honestly glad they don\'t. I never really liked the pretender gimmick because usually one form looks way better than the other. The majority of the Decepticon pretender shells look cool and badass, but the inner bot just looks like some rando bordering on knockoff design. Meanwhile a good bit of the Autobots like Metalhawk have are really cool inner bot but the shell is just a boring dude in a space suit. Plus with the way prices are, a full modern pretender gimmick figure would probably be like 85 bucks.
