I may have unexpectedly stumbled over a little scoop, though it's only a teaser. I contacted Chris Ryall at the IDW Forums regarding opening a Comic Series section at the Beast Wars International site, asking about terms for using any art or pictorials for the section (of course, making sure we have permission first), as well as BW Int making online profiles for the comic characters. After Ryall responded granting us permission (provided we gave proper credit and linked back to IDW), he also said...

"Come October, we're gonna make it much easier to tell who's who in the world of Beast Wars, too."

Well this goes along with his somewhat cryptic words at the end of Beast Wars no. 3 letter's page. huzzah.

I've been wishing for a BW profile book ever since Dreamwave released the More than Meets the Eye 8-part series years ago.

I hope they get to the Japanese BW versions as well...if not, I'll just draw them myself. 

 

I'm not so keen on having all the Japanese guys in there. Most have ridiculous sounding names or are repaints. But I wouldn't mind it if the character doesn't have a Western counterpart (Leo Convoy, Dead End, whatever).

Few things get me as excited as profile books. I'd be all over this.

 

I'd love to see the Armada books in a TPB, and give us Energon and Cybertron profiles too. Lots of great potential in there, epecially with the non-show characters.

But Beast Wars? Yessssss....
