    23+ feedback
doesn't accept paypal, only postal money orders
photo images aren't consistent. (mismatching backgrounds, image sizes, image quality, etc)

Thoughts? If someone knows the seller or can vouch for them, please let me know, there are some fantastic items for sale.

I appologize if this is an outstanding member's auctions, but after seeing this:

    http://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback&userid=alisher71&items=25&page=1&frompage=-1&iid=-1&de=off

    anything is possible.

as for the only accepting postal mo's thing, i can understand that. the reason you havent gotten your ruination from me yet is i can find anywhere willing to cash your mo. im sending him today though. Some ppl, like me, dont have bank aacts for whatever reason (mine was hacked and empteid) and must get paid with mos that are easy to cash, ie: Western Union or post office. As for the recycled images, maybe sketchy.......

Oh, there's no way I meant to single you out in this post at all. I had no idea about the postal mo vs bank mo until yesterday. :)

It's truly a combination of things about his auction listings that's making me :peoples:  I'm on eBay quite a bit and I've never seen anything this shady.

He's now selling vintage items using recycled images. The image re-used is described in the body of this auction. It's one thing to use a stock photo from e-hobby or hasbro, but this can't be right.

Has someone reported this guy to ebay yet? Best to do so before his auctions close. Looks like he's never sold anything in the past.

I did about 30 minutes ago, it wouldn't hurt that if anyone feels the same as I do, report too.

    1. he's using all recycled images ... possible explanation, he doesn't have a digital camera. (not likely though)
    2. he's keeping all bidders ID's private ... to protect the buyer? (or to keep the buyers from being notified about the possible fraud)

Its one thing to say, "I don't have a digital camera", but he's writing the auction descriptions towards the images that he found.

It is a fraud. Sorry I didn't see this first, but I made another topic so people would see it:
    http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/thread90162.html

I have confirmed with another seller that the scammer is using photos of items that he is not selling but of other auctions on ebay that have ended.

I asked him about the recycled pics, waiting on a response (or lack thereof). Sure seems like a scam to me, but I'd like to be wrong.

Don't bother, we asked one of the sellers who he stole the pics from and the original seller still has the item!

I had to come by the eBay thread to see if someone here was selling off their collection...I almost bid on MISB Bruticus and MISB Trypticon! Thanks for the heads up guys.

This kinda stuff pisses me off since I sell stuff on eBay sometimes. I'll report this to eBay too.

I could image match his entire auction listing ... almost.

Assume he gets on average, $300 per auction. At 80 auctions, that's $24,000 of stolen TF community money. If you honestly believe this is a scam, please take the time out to report the auctions.

E-Bay replied to another member that it looks like suspicious activity and they will be investigating it further.

If you have all these toys and this massive of a collection ... is it even possible you gathered all this stuff without using eBay in the past? 23+ feedback doesn't match the things he's auctioning off.

I know there are exceptions here and there, but the vast majority of us are eBay whores and don't have a 1/3rd of the rare items he's "selling".
