Pretty amazing for an Alpha Trion remold.
Love the head, especially.
Just needs a little color, then I'm sold.
Oh, man! Looking good! I hope this is true.
The arm silhouette calling back to Gen. Springer and Sandstorm's is a nice touch, and I'm also digging the asymmetry!
Looks nice so far.
I'm going to be needing this to go with springer and sandstorm
How would you propose retooling a lion into a jet for the third mold?
Also, I see little to no hollow parts.
Titans Returns is just the best.
It seems like we need new terms. "Remold" doesn't describe what they're doing anymore. They are reusing parts in figures with unrelated transforming ideas (chromedome/blurr), they are reusing transforming ideas (spacial relations) in figures with unrelated parts (chromedome/deadend), and they are reusing mechanisms in unrelated figures (Scourge/highbrow).
It's like there are pools of things and ideas, and they are mixing and matching.
This is a headmaster?
Who knows... Maybe it's a new mold all together and only just has some similarities... It looks WAY to be extensive to be just a mere remold.
I love how people just jump into conclusions. The guy who took the photos didn't included vehicle mode pics. I mean... seriously guys.
Hips, elbows, upper arms too
I'm looking at Alpha Trion and they don't look alike.
That face is weird with the big eyes
I think it's one of those "share core parts" figures like Scourge and Highbrow are.
Calling it a "retool" feels wrong though.
Judging by the tail fins (there appear to be a second red set on the front of the shins as well as the white pair) it looks like the feet will fold up similar to the way they do for A3's lion mode but the calf section itself will be oriented differently to form the rear of the jet.
I have a sneaking suspicion that the larger wings are attached to the rear of the arms, which appear to possibly be on a similar joint to the Blurr/Brainstorm mould (seeing the lighter grey section jutting out a bit between the chest and right arm) and, purely speculating now perhaps the conning tower-style cockpit has been remoulded so that the rear of it forms the nose and cockpit of the jet.
Well, i gotta admit, if it's really a retooling, then that might prove that retoolings might also effect transformations too.
I think this may be more like how TR Blurr and TR Chromedome share the same mold for their thighs, kneecaps, and gun: reused components but not retools.
Hasbro/Takara Tomy are getting so cunning now, it shares a few parts but it's definitely not the same toy.
Separate names with a comma.
