Usually I don't use Chinese sellers except for low value bits and pieces but when I did I ended up with a bad copy of MP-27. The bumper is totally missing and one of the wheel mounts is damaged and floppy. It looks like it isn't even the correct pin.

Unfortunately I only just got round to opening the box over a month since it arrived so it's out of the normal returns period. What are my options if the seller doesn't accept the return?

Well, I believe there's a third party kit that replaces the entire front wheel sections to eliminate the hip kibble everyone seems to dislike on the mold, so there's that for the damaged wheel hinge issue. You're probably out of luck with the missing bumper piece, though, if the seller refuses to accept the return.

That does suck, though. I hope you can get a return, and maybe try a place like BBTS in case you by some crazy fluke end up with another faulty Ironhide.

If you're going to buy from an Asian importer use Sarah Zhang. She has a Facebook group called TF-fans. She's an amazing seller and I've not waited more than 3 weeks for anything she's shipped me.

That's what I was wondering, with QC issues like that. Also, the chrome looks really clean and in good condition, and we all know the original has absolute crap quality for its chrome bits...

Sorry to hear about those issues. If the seller doesnt accept a return and if you used PayPal, you might be able to still file a dispute through them. IIRC, I believe there is a 180 day time frame from purchase date to file one.

Mine looks great. Please don't say "We all know..." and speak for everyone. I also don't need you to pull up stats... don't care. The experience of some isn't the experience of all. This might be a KO and you got a bad deal.

My perfectly original Takara MP Ironhide is still in perfect condition, with excellent chrome and no wear at all. In fact, same goes for my Hot Rod and Ratchet. And yes I do transform them from time to time...

The QC issues of Takara are very usual nowadays but this looks really bad even from a Takara product.

    It may ba a KO.

Should be obvious if it's a KO - I belive they are without autobot logo and with different name/number like the recent 'branded KOs'.

Could also be a factory reject - the silver paint on that foot part with the missing bumper is terrible too. Looks like badly matching red all over too, but that could be the camera. There were some 'off the back of a lorry' on ebay a while back so they are in circulation.

I have to jump in here and say that I too think its a KO.

The lack of paint on the piece without the bumper makes me think that. How is the printing on the box? And the instructions?

Thanks for the replies. I've boxed it up return to return but I'll have a look later. I've emailed the seller through the eBay resolution centre. If that doesn't work I need to go through PayPal right? The seller is hongbo19788

The KO should be identical except for the autobot emblem.

The box looks the same as the official. It's got two sets of instructions: English and Japanese. There is an Autobot logo printed on the front of the van.

Is there a definite way to check if this a KO?

No reply from the seller for 2 days, but it is the weekend.

It's a ko. The official only has Japanese instructions.

Those instructions also contain Chinese. So definitely a KO.

Actually, I'm surprised that Hasbro Asia doesn't try to localise any of the toys, even for a market as big as China's. Maybe they figure it's cheaper not having to print out packaging/ instructions/ MP cards etc themselves and being a pure distributor.

Maybe there's a second group doing this KO. The logo should not be applied,
