    Here's the thing- once Unicron awakens, GAME OVER: no more living humans, no Earth-at all. TLK was pretty much doomed from its inception to not have any logical followup or follow-through. Having avatars would not be necessary. If the first 5 films had Marvel-caliber writing, then things would have turned out differently. However, they did not. Why would it make any shred of sense to return to something that nearly bankrupted Paramount? TLK has been over. . .

    Yet Bumblebee had 3 (or more actually) things that TLK didn't:
    A)A production and writing staff (most of them, except from 2 holdovers from the old paramount guard) who actually gave a damn about what they were creating;
    B)A decent script with good characterization and pacing;
    C)A coherent plot that wasn't built from throwing a discombobulated af clusterfuck at the wall, keeping what stuck, and then arbitrarily trying their damnedest to link tf out of pieces that don't and never will coherently or logically fit in the slightest. . .

    $ is not the infallible determinant of a good film or good storytelling that you make it out to be. . .

    It really makes me wish they still did movieverse comics. I don't care to see another bayverse movie (I'd prefer they continue with the knightverse but keep the more bayverse designs like shatter and dropkick) in that style, but I'd definitely like to see the storyline be complete, and I'd definitely like to see more Knight Optimus.
