Has anybody tried to polish and shine the Black Strong & Flexible versions of the ROTF Voyager Starscream Hands by Fakebusker83?

If so, what materials and tools to I need?

The reason I ask this is because I want to install these hands onto this project of mine (http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/radicons-customs/328493-rotf-hftd-voyager-ramjet-wip-part-2-a.html) and not waste more money and time by buying the White Strong & Flexible Polished versions and either painting or color dyeing them!

Building up layers of a clear coat sealant (I like the Future floor polish approach myself, but some of the more craft/art geared products will probably work as well) is what I've had the most luck with in "smoothing out" the Strong Flexible materials.
