Yes, this would be truly delightful, to always have powerful opponents to test my skills against!

I hope for a Therizinosaurus based one in due time.

A noble sentiment, but all I can think about is how I cheaped the shit out of her with a EXPLODING Drifblim and a lot of Max Revives.

To be honest I always felt a bit awkward about beating Wally, because it just felt less of 'oh good, I helped him to learn from this and get stronger' and more of 'oh god, I walloped an asthmatic child and stabbed a hole in his confidence'

But yeah, I get your point. It's a good one!

    Yeeeessssss

Yes to all of this, especially the trainer customization.

...You can turn that thing off, y'know.

Well I've been playing Alpha Sapphire and recatching Pokemon for Wonder Trade but... Has anyone realized how bad the Quick ball can be? I'm recatching stuff at the Battle Resort and I had to resort to Timer balls because the Quick doesnt work and I tried Dusk because it was night, nothing either. WTF?

Not sure how you've used it, but they work great for me. For quick balls, you've got to use them right at the beginning of the match. It usually works for me, of course if it doesn't then I have to resort to a different type because the catch rate drops after the first attempt.

The Quick Ball is basically designed to be the first thing you use the second the battle stars and you can click buttons. No fighting, no switching, you just throw a Quick Ball at them. It's at its most powerful when used right at the start, regardless of the fact the target 'mon is still at full health; hopefully it can catch the victim straight up, but if it fails, then its power starts depleting as turns go on and you'll need to switch balls.

my wish list for pokemon sun and moon

something new in the starter pokemon, to break up the old fire-grass-water starter trio.

    a Stegosaurus pokemon

    an evolution for Tauros

    earlier access to mega evolution

    Dark gym

bring back horde battles, player character customization and having your lead pokemon follow you on screen.

new exp. share and getting a lucky egg in the course of the game possibly from saving chansey or Blissy from the bad guys.

customization/costumes for your pokemon. would have to be removed before trading.

    -Trainer customization
    -Official 6V6 battles
-Portraits of your opponent's Pokémon during a battle
-No more Mega Evolutions for already decent Pokémon (more Lopunny and less Slowbro)
    -Non fire/water/grass starters
    -Nerf Primal Groudon and Kyogre

    all of this.

for pokemon. I'd love an Ice/Flying Snowy Owl though it's unlikely it'll happen in this gen.

I think it'd be nice to have a starter that isn't part fighting in any way.

I also want a fire/electric or fire/grass pokemon of any kind. Fire types are lacking in duality.

Sounds to me like you have no idea how the Quick Ball even works as it is an absolutely spectacular ball. Basically, on the very first turn, the quick ball has a whopping 5x catch rate which is a higher catch rate than any other ball save the Master Ball starting with Gen 5. I have caught something like 75% of all Pokemon with the Quick Ball.

After that very first turn, the Quick Ball's catch rate drops down to 1x, the very same as a regular Pokeball. So basically, a quick ball is only useful for that very first turn, before you do anything else. But for that very first turn it is magnificent.

Well I use the quick ball everytime a wild pokemon battle starts. Only on the first turn. It use to work all the time on the first turn before Gen 6 but it seems its not working as well because it fails to even catch a Mantyke!

That's weird because it works perfectly fine all the time for me regardless of generation.

But, what do you mean by even a Mantyke? Mantyke's catch rate is 25: its one of the more difficult Pokemon to catch, especially with a quick ball.

EDIT: Oooohhh, I think I get what's going on here. You said before that you were doing this around the Battle Resort. One of the most common Pokemon around that area is Mantyke and they have a low catch rate of 25. That means that they are especially difficult to catch with a quick ball. Its not the quick balls that are the problem here, its the local Pokemon that aren't ideal for quick ball capture.

wait i thought the quick ball became less effective with every 5 turns. granted i never use it that much. as far as custom balls go i prefer dusk or net balls.
too bad apricorn pokemons ONLY exist johto. i mean the heavy ball, lure ball, and love balls were so good looking.

though im partial to any green poke ball hahaha

At the elite 4 on my vc red. Also have around 83 Pokemon caught.
I done something that I usually don't care for. I missingo glitch to duplicate nuggets. Primarily to get porygon without spending hours and random luck at the casino. Just used the money and converted it to 9999 coins.
Beyond that I'm doing the rest legit.

Nope, its only good for one turn and that's it. Its immediately nothing more than a Pokeball once you hit that second turn. But for that one turn, boy is it godly.

A snowy owl Pokemon could happen in 7th gen. It may be a more tropical themed region but so was Hoenn and we got a few ice types in those games.

As for new typings I'd like to see them do a Dragon/Fighting, Grass/Electric, and Fairy/Poison types.

Thinking about doing that on my copy of Blue for the same reason. Along with the Mew glitch since hey, Gotta Catch Em' All.

On a related topic, I wonder if Mews obtained this way can be transferred to Sun and Moon in the future. Unless they check the OT to determine if it's glitched or not and block it based on that.

well that sucks about the quick ball.
a snow owl would be pretty cool depending on how majestic it looks. ive wanted dragon fighting for a while now, would make sense/ be obvious and add to that perhaps ... DRAGON PUNCH?! or even DRAGON UPPERCUT!? but would fairy/poison be like a fallen fairy?

    That'd be pretty sick.

Perhaps some kind of gremlin-like creature, a gangly sharp-clawed freak that looks like it might have once been rather cute but is now degenerated into some toxic monster.

Spriggans, goblins, orcs, kobolds, etc. There are plenty of sources for corrupted fairies where a possible dark/fairy or poison/fairy can be drawn from.

I would kill for a Spiderwickian inspired fairy/dark typed Phooka pokemon.
