I like how they've redesigned Mauville. It feels a lot more functional than that pass-through hamlet it was back in Generation III now that it's a Shopping locale with an apartment block on top and a rooftop garden. Still not happy that the game corner is gone (I stood in front of the former Game Corner hopping furiously on my Acro bike at that) I got a giggle at trying out the bunnyhop feature of the acro bike this time around.

Anyone else giggle when the Magma grunt high-tailed it out of Rustboro with a sped-up version of the Magma Grunt walk cycle (that awkward arm-swinging goose-step they do)?

Ok so I found a big error on serebii about the 5th gen starters. You dont have to beat the elite four a second time. Go to your house in little root town and talk to your mom twice (you will recieve the other Lati megastone and the amulet coin) if you plan on SRing for a shiny, make sure to save inside the house as you will go into his bag right away and wont be able to save in front of it. As for 4th gen, you might have to fight the elite four to get them.

Just finished the Mt. Pyre arc and am in lilycove about to go to Aquas base. The EXP share change is definitely making the games faster due to less grinding, not sure if I like that or not, also mourning the game corners loss (screw you Europe, this is why we can't have nice things lol), but happy to have secret bases return. Still trying to pick a good one (currently am in the one inside the fiery pass).

Still looking for a Meloetta if anyone has one they'd be willing to part with.

Got my copy of OmegaRuby in the mail today. Wasn't expecting it until tomorrow, but since I'm off today I'm not complaining.

For those who have played OR/AS already, which Mega Stones are available before entering the Hall of Fame, and which after? I'm interested in having Mega Pidgeot, but is either Pidgey or the Pidgeotite available before the Hall of Fame?

From my playthrough thus far (only at Mauville City) I've only found Alakazite in Mauville.

But going through Serebii, you SHOULD be able to get Pidgeotto and Pidgeotite before the Hall of Fame. Pidgeotto is caught inside the Safari Zone, which is before you take on Team Magma/Team Aqua I believe. Pidgeotite is given to you by Mr. Stone in Rustboro when you give him an Intriguing Stone. You get that in Verdanturf Town, which I think is between 3rd and 4th Gyms.

I really wish I knew when some of those became available, as of right now (same as my earlier post, in lilycove going to aqua base) a lot of those are closed off (I need gardevoirs for my teams gardevoir)

Can someone quickly confirm something for me - just hatched a shiny Buneary, but its male and I preferably want a female one. I keep reading online that shiny value is determined when you pick up the egg rather than when it hatches, so theoretically since i've saved before I can reset, pick it up out of the batch it came from (I have it narrowed down to one of 5 eggs) and keep resetting for gender right?

EDIT - Nevermind, just realised gender is locked too. Ah well.

Just made it to Fortree, and I'm having some trouble deciding my sixth pokemon.

I'm torn between Wheezing, Crawdaunt, and Glalie.

The rest of my team is Sceptile, Altaria, Loudred, Gardevoir and Masquerain.

Other options are my recently boxed Thunderfang Mighteyena, and mayyyybe a Lanturn.

    Any suggestions?

Weezing is a great physical wall and only has one weakness thanks to his ability.

So, according to Serebii Mirage Spot legendaries are not shiny locked, including Reshiram and Zekrom. Cool news for those who are really into shiny collecting.

Ok, so even though I played the Hoenn games in Gen 3, I never actually bothered with contests. So what I'm wondering is, how do I most efficiently go about winning them? (y'know, what kind of Pokeblocks do I make, which Pokemon, do I need more than 1?) I'm trying to get the Mega Stone after you get a Master Rank in the contests.

After bringing Deoxys to Y, I found out that each meteorite in Ambrette Town just rotates between his forms, and nothing other than that.

Are you only after the Mega Stone or do you really want to learn how to do Contests? Because the Lucarionite is definitely not worth going through that trouble, considering you're simply given one not too far into the story of X and Y.

Were we expecting anything else to happen? Because that's exactly what happens with an older transferred Deoxys.
