While looking for a Kingdra last night, I came across a shiny Lumineon! And then I found Kingdra right after I caught it! Woohoo!

I guess some of the Pokedex entries do suggests it has bioluminescence. Though I've always thought it looked more like a betta fish with butterfly shaped fins... At any rate, this one actually has sparkles after it comes out of the pokeball. :D

Hello everyone, I need some advice. I've been playing Pokemon since Blue came out years ago, and have played every generation since. However, I have never done EV training or breeding or any of that sort of thing. I just catch and train.

Do you guys think, for casual play, and the occasional battle online, if EV training and breeding is worth it? If it is, to what extent do you guys draw the line? I've heard from some that worrying too much about numbers might potentially make you OCD and ruin your experience. What do you think? Just curious about your opinions.

EV training is almost a necessity, so are natures if you can. But breeding or RNGing for IV's and the perfect baby Pokemon? Unless you need a certain Hidden Power, no need to breed. Alternatively, I know ways you can get perfect Pokemon in 5th Gen, in the form of legal hacks (meaning it's a hack, but made in such a way that you could get the Pokemon legitimately, eg Shiny Darmanitan is a legal hack, but Wonder Guard Spiritomb is not). PM me about it if you need it.

Thanks for the advice A1. I'm fine without the legal hacks, thanks too for offering those.

I finally got my DW Espeon! It took forever, but at least they fixed it so I could still get it.

    That's great, Sparky Prime!

Guys, I've a question. Today was my first time ever EV training. I did the typical 252/252/6 EV pattern, and I was wondering if I had maxed out my EVs? I tried to check by giving my Pokémon various Wings (that increase EVs +1) but none of them worked, suggesting that the EVs are already maxed out. Is this right?

Thank you! It feels so satisfying to finish EV training, now I just have to train it to higher levels.

Yeah, the game to select one of the Eeveelutions for this promotion ended back in May. All they have for it now is for players to pick up what they won through Dreamworld.

Don't worry, the DW abilities for all but Espeon (Magic Bounce/Magic Mirror) and Vaporeon (Hydration) sucked. I mean, Flareon got Guts, which isnt helping it much seeing as it has physical move pool barring Fire Fang, Jolteon got Quick Feet, which is completely outclassed by Volt Absorb, and so on.

Only Espy really got anything cool, and even then, with SR less and less prominent, it's becoming less and less useful. Hydration Vaporeon often has trouble competing with it's Water Absorb brethren for a team spot.

So you really didn't miss out on anything important.

hey guys, anyone have a Piplup or one of it's evolutions (or egg!) in gen 5 they'd want to trade? I lost my gen 4 games, so I'm sorta SOL at the moment.

Out of curiosity, I've never been to a Championship event, but does anyone know for sure if they are giving away any pokemon at the National tournament in Indy next weekend? (8th-10th)

I've never been to one of those either but I believe only the World Championship round gives away a Pokemon, not the National Tournaments. I haven't seen anything about any Pokemon giveaways for that Tournament at any rate...

No, it's a game made specifically for the 3DS.
