I've tried six straight times to catch an Eiscue in a raid but the AI sidekicks are so fucking useless I can't get its health down enough to try & capture. I'm using my strongest 'mon and it can barely make a dent. the difficulty curve for the five-stars is just a ridiculous skyrocket.

 

No kidding, they really are pushing for you to get other players to help in those fights rather than NPCs

 

We could share friend codes and then setup the Max Raid battles so only people with a code can join. It would take some setup here to announce when you want some help but it would be better than relying on NPCs.

 

Been a while! We ended up not picking up Sword and Shield, just wasn't grabbing us. But we just started playing Ultra Moon again, looking to beat the post game!

I've bought 300 ultraballs, dusk balls, net balls and quick balls and just went on a rampage capturing Pokémon left and right. I got 3 Gengar, 3 Gallade, 11 Duskull, 3 Dusknoir, 7 Ninjask, 7 Shedinja and a box full of wooloo.

I just fought a 5 star Shuckle in a raid. Turns out it had it's hidden ability (Contrary; reverses stat changes). That meant it ended up getting stronger as the shields were destroyed.

 

Dang. I hate those shields. As if causing sufficient damage wasn't difficult enough.

 

Ok so after capturing a Umbreon at the Lake of Outrage under Sandstorm weather, I'm almost done capturing the eeveelution.

I'm just missing Espeon and I have a level 1 Eevee I bred. How does the friendship system work in SW/SH?

 

From what I've seen, it combines the "friendship" and "affection" stats into a "happiness" stat. Basically all the things that went towards either of those go towards the new one (battling, leveling up, vitamins, playing with the Pokémon in the camp, etc.).

 

use the camp, Play with the pokemon until they're hungry, feed them with good curry, play with them again and feed again. I just got umbreon and Sylpheon with that.

 

I have to use camp and curry? AAAAARRRRRG!!! oh well. Time to study. Serebii! AWAY!

so i tried the camp, played ball with eevee, it got hungry so i used some ingredients and thinking (don't mess this up), kinda fun making the curry.

eevee tried it and loved it. earned some xp and it evolved!

...into umbreon.

i was like what the-? checked the time and it was 9:37pm. good thing i saved before the camping. come morning I'll have espeon.

 

Need stone henge Pokémon and penguin icecube head Pokémon for sword. I can get sword exclusives and sobble starter.

EDIT: scratch that,. Just need penguin ice cube head.
