So by fainting it would sorta be like Eevee dies but evolves into a Ghost type? That's actually a neat idea. Reminds me a little of how you get a Shedinja, being the empty shell of Nincada when it evolves to Ninjask.

I like the name Phanteon for a ghost-type Eeveelution.

I love that name for a rock-type Eeveelution. If they ever do a rock type, this needs to happen.

Isn't Obsidian a type of glass rather than stone or rock?

Obsidian is actually a type of vitreous igneous rock, although it is also commonly known a volcanic glass.

I want to say that if there is a Dark-type gym, and if gyms revolve around gimmicks like the trials did, then I hope it revolves around catching bluffs or the other player cheating in battle or something. The reason us because Dark--types play dirty!

I don't know about a gym. Personally I was thinking something along the lines of when Looker makes his post game appearance, he first appears stepping out of a police box.

Few things I hope they give some new gimmick or stat boost to to make them more competitive:

    Flareon
    Kingler
    Delibird
    Gen 2 starters
    Maybe Dunsparce?

So I am at my core a Gotta Catch Em All guy. I have to have one of each Pokemon. Had a scare with my Pokemon Bank where, after renewing it for another year, I discovered most of the new Ultra Beasts from USUM, Cosmog, and Type: Null were just missing and not in any boxes from my Ultra Moon game. I eventually found them in the Pelago training area, and they are now safely in my Bank.

Now I just have to wonder why I had those specific Pokemon in the Pelago training area to begin with.

Saw this from a youtube video. Not sure if it's real or fake, but it says Scorbunny evolves into a Knight like Rabbit.

There's a couple of trainers that have shiny Pokemon in the Trainer Tower. A Burglar has the Meowth, a Fisherman with a Seaking, and a pair of twins have an Espeon.

I'm skeptical bout this, though, it had the same "confidential" mark back in the pokemon sun/moon starters... so maybe there might be some differences.

Also Rabbit Knight would be sorta amusing.

Are there any that aren't scripted when it comes to NPCs?

unless you count the scenes where the professors/rivals/old men could catch a shiny by teaching you/whatever, then nope. Thank goodness too, because i'd be furious if i spent 300 hours of my life only for a rando NPC to pop my chance out the window.

edit: and apparently places in the old battle frontier with the random pokemon gimmick. most notably in FR/LG.

I don't think it applies to FR/LG. Only three trainers will have shiny Pokemon there as far as I know. But you're right that the Battle Frontier in Emerald, Platinum and HG/SS will randomly generate Pokemon, and so they can potentially be shiny.

Also a funny quirk of the games... The Ralts that Wally encounters can appear as a shiny in the cut scene where he catches it. After he catches it however, it will be a normal Ralts.
