Which honestly makes no sense, why would a Bug type or any type lose their type? I'm not sure if this is common or not, usually you gain a type. Losing a type seems odd to me, especially when it comes to bug types. He still looks like a bug, he should still have the Bug typing.

 

I just wait for those preorders, then this will happen.

 

It's a limitation of the games only allowing Pokemon to have two types. I wouldn't say it's a common thing, but there is a handful of Pokemon that lose a type in favor of another when they evolve. And there are some cases where I'd say it makes sense. Eevee for example loses its Normal type when it evolves, in favor of the type of its given evolution.

 

Speaking of Eevee does anyone think we might get a new Eeveelution or 2 in Sword/Shield, and if so, which Type(s) do you want? (Dragon for me)

 

I would love to see a dragon evolution for Eevee. I was a bit surprised they didn't introduce one with Sylveon actually. Having a dragon type Eeveelution would have been a great way to introduce the Fairy type while continuing the Eeveelution counters trend, since Umbreon was a counter to Espeon and Glaceon was a counter to Leafeon.

With the rumors of armored Pokemon in this Generation, I could maybe see them doing a Steel type Eeveelution. And that'd be a counter to Fairy types...

I want a Ghost type evolution, called lets say Phantasmeon, that you have to level up in a graveyard holding a special item, or level up in a graveyard and then have it faint in the same battle.

 

It's the first store I've seen with a pre-order for these games - they only had Shield up at the moment though (£59.99, with a "TBD 2019" release date)....They'll amend the price at some point, so I'm not jumping on it yet.

Up to now, I'm going with Sobble. If Scorbunny pulls a good evolution out of the hat though, I'll be sticking with the fire starter!

 

Eevee needs Ground, Dragon, Rock, Steel, Bug, Ghost and Poison evolutions to have a full set. Quite frankly I think they should introduce at least three with this Gen since we haven't gotten one since Gen 6 and they mucked it up by not making two of them.

I'd go with a Dragon to be Sylveon's new counter possibly named Draconeon or something probably ten times better than that.
Make a Steel type and call it whatever they'd care to that isn't a stupid name.

And round it all off with the cutest Ghost type outside of Misdreavous and call her... I mean it... E.Gadeon... Er... I mean Poltereon giving it the ability to merge with things like the Pokedex or something similar to how Rotom can merge with appliances.

 

I think so. I think Dragon and Steel would be most likely this time around. Personally, I want a Normal-type eeveelution named Eeveon to throw a curve ball at the leaks!

I plan to go with Sobble on Sword and Scorbunny on Shield. But it really depends on their evolved forms.

 

With Eeveelutions, I would really love to see a new trio.

Steel, Fighting and Dragon.

Dragon to be paired off with Sylveon.

But to have the new duo be a steel knight-esque Eevee and the Fighting as perhaps something similar as a RPG follower/traveler.

Kinda have it like the knight and traveler on a quest to slay the dragon motif.

 

Now I want to see a DnD campaign with pokemon called Eevolutionaries!!

 

Can't remember where I saw it, but someone said any future rock type Eevee-lution should be called Obsideon, and now I cannot accept anything other than this name for it (if/when it comes).

Otherwise, I really want to see a regular Eevee-lution that naturally happens when Eevee levels up. It could even look like a base form for the Legendary Beasts; cementing that 3 Eevee-lutions definitely were the 'mons resurrected by Ho-Oh in Ecruteak City.

 

I guess with Gym Leaders back, fans are back to wanting a Dark-Type Gym Leader.

Seems so, and I think the colours of the gyms on the region map might be hinting to a Dark Gym in the snowy area to the east!

I was thinking more of a Vampire or Goth Gym Leader.

 

I honestly think its fake due to how low the ploygon count and texture quality for the background is. When compared to how detailed the new battle surroundings are as shown in the trailer.

Cool design though.

 

I wonder if there's going to be a Gym Master that's basically a total Doctor Who homage. Given the region.
